Rihanna will be 11 months old next month (well in 11 days).

She still has a LOT of feeds during the day. She is on 3 solid meals a day + small snacks. She also takes water from a sipper cup.

Somedays I still feed her more than 5 times a day + 2-3 overnight feeds. Is this too much ? Should I TRY & wean the feeds down ? We were doing well for a couple of days with 4 feeds a day (including water) & NO overnight feeds, then the weather got hot, and she started wanting more.

She doesn't settle very well unless I offer her booby LOL. My own doing, I know Wub

I can't say I know whats normal, but my girl is 8 months, on 2 solid meals and drinks from a sippy cup on the rare occasion. She is having 4-5 breastfeeds a day and none overnight. Now I'm thinking my girl doesn't drink enough LOL

I don't think at this age what you have described is a lot. Especially when it is hot.
At 11 months old the twins were on 4 feeds a day, plus 3 meals plus 2 snacks and water from the drink bottles I keep in the lounge room.

Each child is very different.. William had 3 bf a day, none overnight, 3 meals and a snack in between plus water. I was told that at this age food should be starting to take precedent over milk. He was having a bf every 20 mins to every hour overnight but i stopped bf and he slept through the night.. was tough but he is so much better for a goodnight sleep.. so is his mummy...

wow time flies... she is 11 months already, seems like yesterday I read your birth announcement..

great also for getting thus far with the bf.. i know it's not an easy thing to do..

Thanks for the replies. Just seems like a lot of feeding. If she wants the boob, then I have to give it to her or she cracks it. It just isn't worth the fight sometimes Crying

I know what you mean Kerrie. She is growing up way too fast Flapper
