I want to know what you all think is ok.

I have been going to the gym for most of the year, i do classes because i seriously lack motivation to do anything on my own!! I do pump (weight lifting to music, TBT, and Zumba)

I didn't go last week or half the week before because i wanted to give my little frozen embie the best chance i could.

I'd like to go back now so that I can stay fit and healthy, but I certainly dont want to do ANYTHING that might pose a risk after the ordeal DH and I have been through.

What do you think is ok to do? I am feeling fine, no tiredness etc.
If I do pump I was just going to knock the weights back and take a step out in TBT and do the low impact options.

Congrats on your BFP!!

Just tell the instructors that you are pregnant and they should be able to tailor the programs to suit you and advise you on what is and isn't safe for bubs xoxo

I thought about doing that, but I live in a really small town, and the instructor is friends with my friends and I'm just not sure I can go there??? I know technically she shouldn't say anything but.....

Hi Blue, congrats on your pregnancy....i am due a couple of days before youBigGrin

I have been going to the gym for 6 months and i do the cardio, weights, boxing class and body balance....i have spoken to the instructors that do the classes and they told me that everything i normally do is ok for the first 12 weeks, then after that a few things will need to be adjusted...and not to go pushing myself harder then i normally would.....i would speak to your instructor over the next few weeks and make sure they are aware that you are not telling anyone.

Congratulations on your BFP BigGrin

Another vote for doing everything the same until 12 weeks, and at 12 weeks you'll have to remove or majorly modify the ab parts.

Don't go excessively hard but don't be afraid of getting a sweat up, and if anything feels like it's too much, just don't do it, and if someone asks you why, you can avoid pregnancy speculation by having an excuse ready - like "Sorry, just getting over a cold" or something.

If it makes you feel any better, I didn't find out I was pregnant until nearly 7 weeks, and I had been doing seriously competitive wrestling and full-contact "cage fighting" training up until literally the day before I got a BFP! And I kept teaching wrestling till 7 months and training in karate until about 6 months.

I agree with all the other ladies and did continue to to go to the gym until I found out about the Hematoma (which had nothing to do with it by the way it is just a random thing that happens.) I have been told your heart rate shouldn't go over 120-140bpm I forgot which one so I am not help. I really hope once the hematoma goes away I can get back to some swimming and even going light at the gym as keeping fit and healthy is a huge help in labour and recovering after birth.

yeah thank kazkaz, that's one of the main reasons i want to keep going - so i can stay fit for later on make sure I give us both the best chance I can. Also the doctor thinks my body produces too much insulin which is cell damaging, and the best way to help get rid of it is to exercise, especially with weights.
I have a heart rate monitor at home so I might wear it tonight and just make sure it doesn't go above 120.
Thank ladies!
