OUCH!!! I got what I think was a pinched nerve with Jimmy, it came and went with a few minutes. But now I am getting it for really long periods of time, it is right where my back and bottom come together on the right hand side but almost in the centre. Any tips on what to do for it?

The other night I did circles on a gym ball, very painful but it went away, I went to be and when I got up in the morning it was back Sad If I do not sit down I do not get it as often but I cannot stand up all day RollEyes

If your able to get to a physiotherapist that would be my suggestion, I had a bulging disk when pg with Lily and I was given some exercises to do to help relieve the pain.
Hope it gets better soon

I have had the same thing on and off for months. I find it clicks and twinges when I bend slightly forward (ie, helping DS on the toilet ouch!)

Today I saw a remedial massage guy who just worked the area gently and I feel great now. Much more movement and no twinging yet.

It is a horrible pain, I hope yours goes soon!

So this is going to sound really weird, but I thought I had a pinched nerve when I was pregnant with Liv and Dylan. It was a pinching when I was bending to sit or stand, but it was fine once I was down or up. I put up with it for a few days and eventually went to the dr, who siad I had a really bad UTI that had traveled to my kidneys!
Is it possible it could be something like that?

Being in the country I cannot get to those services, however I will be in Adelaide on Monday to see the OB.

The UTI thing has me a bit worried, the pain is worse when trying to move from or to a sitting or bending forward position however I do still get it when walking but when upright and not moving it is not there. The doctor is out of town until Friday so I cannot get it checked. Maybe I should go up to the hospital, I having been getting a odd pressure down there espically after going to the toilet I put it down to Little 11’s position but maybe not Unsure

My baby brain may fail me some days but from my massage training this is what I know.

Your siatic nerve runs through your bottom on each side and goes down your leg. pressure on it can cause pain which may or may not radiate down your leg. The nerve runs differently in some people either under, over or through the muscle.

Nerve pain is usually described as deep often burning or tingling and may be helped with a heat pack. My father describes the nerve pain in his lower back/ bottom area as someone sticking him with a cattle prodder (an eletric current)

Bub has been sitting on a nerve in my pelves lower right side near the hip and puts pressure on a nerve that runs down my inner leg to my foot and I get the burning tingle sometime itchy on my sole infront of my heal.

Muscle pain is also sharp but you dont get the tingling. It will often come with an oposite muscle pain. have you got any pain anywhere on your left side higher up your back, it may not be painful until someone pushes on the right spot.

Having side this I would also look at the possibility of a UTI as well.

I wouldn’t call the pain a burning or tingling pain, it actually feels like I am being pinched really hard on a very tender spot. The pain does go up my back and down my leg from time to time but is mostly in that one spot.

I am debating if I should see the doctor on Friday to rule out a UTI or just wait till I see the OB on Monday.

it's very hard to diasgnose nerve pain with out actually being in the same room. The only one who can decide what to do is you, if you feel better going to the dr today go, if your happy to wait till monday then thats your choice I hope it all turns out ok.
