No way Emily Sad .. Is that public as well? I don't understand why it costs to go do that? I pay $90 for my doctors appt each time, sometimes she bulk bills... but i got $40 back on medicare.

Just reading how much all you girls paid for you ultrasounds. I think I got ripped off bad. I paid $250 for mine and only got something like $60 back from medicare. Then on top of that I had to pay another $16 for the DVD. My 20 week one is going to be $266 + $16 for the DVD. I've gone private, so guess thats how they can get away sending me to such expensive places Sneaky

Morning Ladies,

Just a quick one from me as I’m at work Sad.

As for the scan I haven’t had to pay anything for any of mine... my initial appointment with my Dr cost me $150 but that was for everything (scans, bloods etc)and I got some back on Medicare too.... So pretty much the same as Lili.

Good luck I hope you can get it cheaper - is there somewhere else you can go?

xx

I'll be back on tonight to do personals ThumpUp ThumpUp.

Hope everyone’s well, belly rubs Smile

Nope!!! I don't want the comments that are probably going to come with us having a fourth baby. John outed me the other day when he was posting about our wedding anniversary but no one noticed.

I just wanted to point out that it didn't seem to matter if you were public or private you more often then not paid and that you were all lucky because mine seems to be the most expensive, I wasn't trying to take over your topic. (even thou I betcha I'll be an august mummy if my 37 weeks with Mikayla is repeated with this bubba)

Thanks Liz, that makes me feel a little better that I;m not the only one paying over $200

Sara - Good luck with you scan tomorrow. I think its a little sad that you feel you can't make a big announcement because people will judge you Sad all that should matter is that you and your family are happy about it all, and I think its quite rude if anyone says anything other then congratulations. Just my opinion

Leece - Congratulations and welcome to the group, I look forward to getting to know you and sharing the next 6 months journey with you :)

Lili - I think all scans are like that picture? I was just really lucky that bubby was VERY co operative on the day, so the lady was able to get a few good shots. She said normally it takes her a while to get a good profile shot like that

AFM - I'm feeling really good this week, I have all my energy back now, just getting tired in the evenings, but with 2 other young kids I guess that is just normal anyway RollEyes I've been feeling bubby move lots more too, but I really have to sit and concentrate to know what I am feeling. I NEVER felt it this early with the other 2, but I guess now I know what I'm feeling. Can't wait until I start getting definite movements though, I just LOVE that part of being pregnant Wub Wub Wub

Hi Ladies,

I had my NT scan last week and it cost us $160 for the scan & $110 for the blood test. Huh All previous scans and tests that I've had have cost nothing.

Dont have a bump, as of yet, but am looking forward to "popping" as I havent had any pregnancy symptoms. Still feels surreal.

Hope everyone is well Smile

Tanks for the welcome :)
Not sure which scan you are talking about but I payed $60 for my date scan (at 10 weeks) and Medicare payed $51 I got free xray type photos and a disc.
Where are people getting there scans at? There's a huge difference in price...but then again, could it be for different types of ultrascans?

Hey My August Ladies!!

Yeay our list has gotten bigger! Big welcome to everyone who has just joined us! And bog yeay for us being moved into 2nd trimester!

I didn't have to pay for my bloods or any of my scans! My GP said I would have to pay for my NT scan but when we went to pay after the appoitment they said no charge! BigGrin

I am 17 weeks today!! Yeay!! 3 weeks and 2 days till my 20 weeks scan .. I am so counting down the days to see bub again! I have just started to feel a few little flutters today! No idea if I am imagining it or if it is feeling bub wriggling around! Can't wait to get more movement to know it is bub for sure!

Been feeling really great and starting to get a little bump now! Some days I feel bigger than others, have only put on 1 kg so far so that's good, was expecting to put on a few more than that by now!

Big Belly Rubs for everyone and so excited for us all!

We bought our cot, change table, and bassinet on the weekend! Saw the one we loved on special so just had to grab it even though it's a little early! Keeping it in the boxes for a few more months though! ANyone else started buying things or slowly starting with the nursery?

Big Belly Rubs to all!

Lili - yea just a little lol. We really love it up here (not so much when it's like 48 degrees) but the lifestyle is awesome..... We'll move back to Perth some day tho.
I'm an office manager. What about yourself?
I think we need 100 posts to be able to PM... Not too many to go ThumpUp.

Awesome I'll see if anyone else is interested then figure out how I go about creating a new group on Facebook ThumpUp.

Rocket - Yayyy for hitting 17weeks, times passing by nicely ThumpUp . Well done only putting on 1kg too, I think I've put on 5 Blushing oh well lol.
Naw that's must make everything feel just a little more real having bubs cot n change table Wub.
How are you feeling? Well I hope Smile.
