I hope no one from the P&B or M&B teams get upset at what I'm about to post but I just wanted to leave a little feedback about the current P&B mag that is out.

I have to say I was a little disapointed... I used to regularly buy the mag but had a bit of a break because we've been trying for awhile now and just needed the "mental" break from all things pregnancy related.

What upset me was the comment from the editor about not enjoying her pregnancies.... While I completely understand that not everyone does enjoy pregnancy and who knows maybe one day if I'm lucky enough to get pregnant again, it probably won't be a walk in the park for me either. I'm probably overly hormonal from all the fertility meds i'm on but I just found it a touch insensitve, as some one who has been long term TTC.

The mag also seemed to be alot more fashion and product geared than it used to be, I understand that mags have to gain revenue from advertising but I really hope that it's not turning into a mag like Cosmo Pregnancy.

Finally would it be possible to dedicate an article in the mag to long term TTC, there are so many of us ladies out here that are going through fertility treatment and its a topic that is so difficult for so many to discuss openly in society. Maybe features on different causes of infertility, alternative therapies, interviews with specialists, new studies (for example Dr Gavin Sacks work with killer cells) or highlights from the recent fertility conference in WA? What about information on how to cope with the psychological issues around long term TTC or how to deal with well meaning friends and familys comments when you "still haven't gotten pregnant yet"?

There seems to be so much info on which cot to buy, which push chair to get which nappies to use and how to deal with labour but not a great deal on what to do if you can't get pregnant in the first place.

Maybe I'm way off but I just wanted to share my thoughts, if you're reading this and you're from either publication thank you for taking the time to read my post.

Phew... that was pretty difficult to write.. I hate complaining... glad I'm not alone in my thoughts :)

I had another thought too.. it would be nice for some one to "blow away" all the myths and miscommunications around fertility treatments and maybe in the process clear some of the stigma attached to having to undergo infertility treatment

I believe they also publish ""Making Babies""??? (If I'm not mistaken???)

That way they have 3 markets

TTC
+
Pregnancy & Birth
+
Mother & Baby

Me personally I didn't start reading P&B till I was pg and M&B till I was a mother...

 & i'm apologising as well in case I've offended you Isobel as I don't want this to come out the wrong way  it's not my intention at all....

I now find that P&B & M&B overlap in articles etc anyway...

i actually thought the same thing isobel, about the comment about hating being pregnant... although i realise that some women just don't enjoy it, for those of us who have been through all the crap it's a miracle and one that should be cherised! i mean, i know i have my whinges, but on a whole, being pregnant is just like living a dream day in and day out. a lot of people take this for granted though......

and i think they have been doubling up on things too... with the sections at the back they just repeat them every couple of months.... let's just say i have been getting the mag since i was first pregnant and i think i have the same articles about 5 times!
