Help! I am having major issues with trying to upload a new avatar... :x

I am sure I did the same things last time and it worked - can't work out what on earth I am doing wrong this time...

Here's what I have done:

Uploaded an image to photobucket into 'tiny' size' (100 x 75)
Copied and pasted the code into the link to offsite box in avatars

It keeps coming up as 'invalid URL'.

I then tries resizing the same image to 80 x 60 in case 100 x 75 was too big.

This is the code I am pasting: am I using the wrong one???

I just changed the first . to 'dot' so it wouldn't just show my image!

Help - I am just about tearing my hair out here!!!!

Amelia, you need the Direct Link code for your avatar, which is different to the IMG code when you're just posting a pic in a post...

Could someone please help me????
I'm trying to put up an avatar off photo bucket, but when I put it in my profile it keeps saying that it can't recognize the dimensions of that URL. I have always had an avatar and used photobucket to put them on, but I can't get it to work anymore. I can't even upload the one that I had on there before :(

Girls...please help..haha i have never had an avatar because i give up in frustration..i have read pretty much every page of this thread in the hope that i would be able to do it but i cant...i have done what everyone says but it says "could not determine dimensions of URL...or something like that...please help :)

has anyone had trouble doing a new avatar since the change over to the new site?

i have tried a number of times to get a pic up and i can't Cursing was able to do my signature one no worries.

i know on the old site you did it through photobucket but this site you do it through your computer and mine just won't load up.

if someone can tell me what i'm doing wrong or how to get one up that would be great.

Hi all!

Newbie (to this site anyway!) and having an avatar issue!

I loaded an avatar fine from my computer, then changed my mind on it. No matter how many times I clear it and try to upload a new pic, every time I try it ends up bringing up the same one I first loaded! I think I'm either stuck with that or stuck with no avatar at all!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated Confused
