Hi girls

I know I have been so slack with coming in here and updating etc but just wanted to let you know that I had my gorgeous little princess, Lucy Michelle, last Tuesday (1/2/11). I had a c-sect booked for 2/2/11 but this little one had other ideas. My waters broke 6:30am on the Tuesday and then contractions started pretty much straight away! I laboured for a few hours while they got the OB and everyone in and then she was delivered by emergency c-sect at 10:30. She has been such a little champion, she feeds so well and sleeps well! I can count on one hand the number of times she has actually cried!! It is just incredible. We came home today (discharged a day early, yay!). Only downside is I have major stomach muscle separation again (5 finger muscle separation) which means no heavy lifting etc until the muscles knit again.

I will hopefully post up my birth story soon.

Congrats Robyn on the arrival of your little man!

I hope everyone else is coping ok with being pregnant in this heat - not long now until your little ones arrive! :) Can't wait to hear everyone's news!

Congrats Robyn and Jeanette!! Applause

So it seems everyone is suffering with swelling. I am too. And like you Martz, my joints are really quite painful. I do wriggling exercises (plus I've been swimming every couple days) but nothing seems to help.
Doc says all is good though because no protein and BP is fine etc plus it has been extremely hot here in Sydney! It reached 43 here yesterday! Thank goodness today is cool and windy.
So I am now 2 days overdue LOL. I am growing so impatient. I've been that way for about 2 weeks now. Better get used to it because I could be waiting another week or more. I've got OB tomorrow and then hospital on Thursday, if she hasn't arrived by then my OB is going to help me push the hospital to induce me over the weekend, and not make me wait another 5 days (due to my leg and back probs). Fingers crossed she does decide to join us over the next few days. HOW EXCITING!
Well, I hope everyone is well and I look forward to seeing more and more announcements over the next month.

CONGRATULATIONS JEANETTE ON THE ARRIVAL OF LUCY BigGrin BigGrin Sounds like she was a bit impatient to make her arrival but good to hear that it wasn’t too stressfull (or maybe it was, will have to read your birth story). And wonderful to hear that she is sleeping and feeding so well.

Emma great to hear that your DH is going to based in Perth from now on you must be thrilled especially no longer having to do early morning runs to the airport. And I’m hearing you on the heat here in Perth, and we have yet another week where the temp does not go below 30 this week.

Cindy bugger that you are suffering with the hot weather swelling as well, looks like it has gotten a few of us now. Hopefully all the stress with the fridge will be the last of things now and everything goes well for you til due date and beyond. I’m so glad that you have such a good and understanding OB who has been understanding and compassionate after Connor.

Becca well you must be very excited that any day now your little girl will be here. Hopefully she will come sooner rather than later. Sound like you too have a great doc, it certainly does make everything much better when you have the support of them.

Ok girls well one of you needs to go start the Feb babies thread…. I’m trying to keep our list up to date here, and I’m guessing that we have lost some of the girls on the list, if you are still reading let us know how you are going. Well we are 2 for 2 on the boys to girls ratio wonder how the month will end up.....

Congratulations Harrysmummy on the birth of Lucy. She sounds like a dream :)
Cindy - thinking of you and hope things have settled down a bit for you. Sounds like it wont be too long before we hear an announcement from you :)
Becca - hopefully your bub makes an appearance soon. Not long now!!
Martz - yeah i just looked at the weather forecasts for the week :( Thankfully my aircon got fixed yesterday. It wouldnt be so bad if it cooled down over night but it isnt really.

Well had a midwife checkup yesterday. Had trace amounts of protein but BP still fine so she wasnt concerned. Bub is measuring a bit over a week ahead.... Head down ready to go apparently but unfortunately that doesnt mean anything will happen any time soon :(
DH is talking about finishing a week early and just staying home with me cause he's bored at work and not managing to acheive much.
Nearly have everything for bub I think. Well most of the essentials anyway. Still have no idea what SMIL has bought so dont want to get too much in case of double-ups.
Have my hospital toiletries bag mostly packed but DH is a bit stressed about me not having everything else ready. I think he's worried he will have to find clothes for me at last minute, lol.

Hey guys not much happenin here still waiting for emmalee to arrive im goin insane and iv had enough really..goin to get some clary sage oil 2moro and have a bath in it im hopin it will give me some contractions...stubborn lil miss.

i didnt go over with the boys..Ethan was 4days early and Jake was 8days so maybe she wants to come on her edd?? lol

Hi Everyone... went to the hospital today. I'm booked in to be induced next Tuesday but still hoping something will happen before then. Tuesday is so far away *sigh* Anxious

It's a BOY!! William Timothy (Will) born 3:04am this morning 12.2.2011 6lb 13oz 49.5cm long. Was pretty horrific birth, baby is ok mum is not great, very unwell

Hoping to hear of some more arrivals, I’m sure there have been some but we haven’t heard yet.

Becca hope you did get induced today and all went well and you are now holding your little girl

Carm I’m sure there has to be news from you to be heard

I’m doing ok but have to say I’m over it now, slipped on the wet floor yesterday almost doing the splits kinda thing but grabbed hold of the card (was in the garage) which stopped me going down and think I pulled some muscles, soooo ouchies, but bubs is still moving heaps and no bleeding or anything so sure things are all good. Mind you went for a swim tonight and must say it is the best I have felt in the last 24 hours, at least I can move now. So over the heat, over the ouchies, over getting up 3 times a night to have to pee and that is when I can get some sleep. And I am so excited for all you girls with your bubs now that I can’t wait to meet ours.

i had baby emmalee on the 16th at 4.12am shes 7lb 10oz, 50cm long 34hc shes doin great and im so inlove hehe..labour was alot worse for me this time though glad its all over and i can enjoy my princess

Hi Everyone. Just letting you know that Madelyn Paige arrived on Weds 16th Feb at 8.37am. 8lbs 5oz, 52.5cms. She was a little unwell at birth and had to spend 2 days in the special care nursery but now she is strong and healthy and absolutely gorgeous. She is the most amazing, beautiful thing I've ever seen. I am so in love.

My labour was freaking awful and I never ever ever want to experience it ever again LOL

Congrats to everyone on the birth of their bubs! I hope you are all well and enjoying your new bundles of joy.
