We all love to laugh at the silly things dads do, so here at M&B we're
starting a new page where we (lovingly) poke fun at them - and we'd love to
hear your stories. :D From nappy-mishaps to crazy comments, all slip-ups are
welcome! There's a prize for the story that gives up the biggest
belly-laugh!

Our son was 10 days old and was crying. My husband was trying to calm him down, however it wasn't working. In a moment of exasperation, my husband said, "No one likes a troublemaker!" to the baby. Gee that worked--yeah right!

The other day DP was watching TV with our 6 month daughter in his lap happily playing with her toes and having a great time. He looked at her and said"if I had toes I would do that too", funny I am quite sure he has 10 toes like the rest of us and I have never seen him playing with them or chewing on them before.

Hahahaha

DH had Jenna with him on his lap while on the computer, he decided to let her "type" on the keyboard.......hmmm BIG Mistake

She almost locked him out of the computer................he had to reboot very quick to stop it from locking.

Needless to say Jenna is not allowed to play with the keyboard anymore, she is however allowed to touch the mouse

The two things I have are during both labours
With my first child my waters broke at 2am and being 35 weeks I had to go in straight away so I wake him up its winter so its pretty cold he goes turn the heater on gimme 10 more mins sleep, being a little freaked out I yell no you idiot Im having a baby, he goes What ohhhhhhhhhhhh promtly jumps out of bed.
With my second child I was 33+6weeks when my waters broke and we had only been asleep for 2 hrs after have a long and tiring day I wake him up he stumbles to the shower vomits everywhere walks around sick as a dog we finally get in the car 10 mins down the road he looks like he wants to pass out so I offer to drive cause you know I want to get to the hospital alive, mind you I'm a learner driver he peacefully slept beside me while I drove having contractions along the way thank god I could actually drive without him having to watch me it was also 1am so their was noone on the road.

After DH got the snip done last year he did too much around the house instead of relaxing like he was supposed to do. He then complained about how sore it was down there, after a while I told him to suck it up when he replied "youv'e never had stitches down there before". I think he may of forgotten about the 4 children I gave birth to including twins. :?

mine is a labour/hospital story.

I had packed my hospital bag and told DH about everything in it so he new what he needed and where to get it when I was in labour.

Anyway - have my waters break I'm in the bathroom in pain and he brings in a maternity pad???? He didn't realise they were for after the birth.

I was at a friends house helping her bake for her daughters birthday and left my 11 month old son at home with my husband. I got a call from my husband sounding distressed and could hear my son in the background sounding hysterical. My husband then told me he could not get our son's shirt off for his bath and that it was stuck, I asked him if he had undone all the buttons on his shirt and he said yes. I straight away left my friends house ( only up the road from ours) to help my hubby. I tried taking off my sons shirt and he started to get really unsettled, sure enough he missed undoing two of the buttons and slid off with ease after undoing them. Silly bugger.

this is TTC-ing related, but i think its quiet funny
DH's has started poking me (with his finger, get your mind outta the gutter, girls) in the stomach quite hard and demanding "release the egg" in this really strange voice... the funny part is no matter how many times i explain the female cycle to him, he still thinks this will somehow work  .. as if my ovaries have ears!

At my baby shower, both my DH and one of our male friends each managed to assemble a portacot with ease - never having seen one before. However neither of them could figure out how to use the nappy tabs, and after several minutes both gave up in frustration!

Oh my goodness...these are hilarious!!! What a belly laugh these stories have given me!

My DH has done and said some 'out of this world' things....but pregnancy brain leaves me struggling to remember them in detail.

I'll be back with a few to share.

A week after my first born daughter arrived, and many cold hours sitting up in bed topless breastfeeding,my dh "designed' a top for me to incorporate warmth and the most important job at hand.
He got one of his old T shirts and cut two melon sized holes in the front(like eyes!) So that I could be warm and breastfeed without any troubles!
