Recently we've had some trouble with a forum member who posted photos they claimed to be of them/their scans, but were found to have actually been lifted from other websites.

The member was given the chance to explain but declined. Their account has now been deleted.

The vast, vast majority of forum members obviously know this already, but just a reminder: ONLY POST PHOTOS OF YOU/THAT YOU HAVE PERMISSION TO POST. Copyright issues aside, you will be found out to be a fraud eventually.

To everyone who does the right thing - thanks! :D

I 'sprung' her very early on and alerted the mods!

I was getting angrier and angrier at the sympathy she was pulling and story she was weaving :evil:

What some people get off on is really quite bizarre!

Smart girl. How did u work it out??

I worked it out when I saw the pic of the "twins" and thought hmm she is ment to be 22 weeks?? Those babies are NOT 22 weeks!! Because I got a 4d scan of DS at 26 weeks and he still looked like a skeleton and these babies were PLUMP and full term looking!

It was all a bit far fetched. Some people need to get lives :roll:

Well done Jules, I had my suspicions too, which is why I didnt reply to her, but had no proof. Sad that some people have nothing better to do.

I was innocently looking at another website of pregnant bellies (comparing mine, as you do being first time pregnant and all :wink: )..when I found the same photo she had posted of herself at 17 weeks :shock: I couldn't believe it!!

The girl in the photo was actually 22 weeks and had an entirely different name.

I had been a little suss already, so alerted one of the mods just to put the suspicion out there.

And yes, 4D scans at 19 weeks would not be that detailed as babies have not developed that much fatty tissue yet! This confirmed the suspicions...

Made me angry :evil:

Jules, you were a very good detective! 8) Then Heidi found the fake scan pic and it was all obvious.

It's so disappointing that people would take advantage of our forum members' kindness and sympathy :(

OMG, I had no idea. I was totally had. :shock:
I went to bed one night feeling really bad for her and even told my DH her story. :o :|

TBH though, I think their has to be some underlying mental health issues here and I hope she (or maybe he) gets some help. This went to far to be a joke... (like funny ha ha) there was a ticker with wedding pic and everything...... very much a fantasy or delusion. :?

It's quite sad really, because even if she (?!) was in a position where she was having trouble conceiving or experienced loss and created the imaginative story that she did to feel better, there are plenty of threads on M&B where she could have opened up and chatted with other members who had gone through the same thing.

Then again, maybe she was really just looking for a cheap form of entertainment :?
