well they say its now proven that bubs start smiling while in the womb. elainey has given me a few smiles but my dh says"there not real smiles!" bloody know it all.
i think i miss not being pg as writing and reading the due in august forum became a big part of my life. it is nice to b able to hold my baby rathter then have her tear up my insides(well thats how it felt towards the end). pretty quite in here.

Hello August mummies,

Feels weird to be here already!!

I know exacty how you feel Danielle, being part of the due in August thread was a huge part of my life and now it feels weird not being there.

Julie its great that he is supporting his head, shows he is a strong bubba, do you give him any tummy time???

As for the smile, I swear Lara has smiled a few times already but everyone else keeps telling me its just wind!! Im sticking with the its a smile theory.

How is everyone coping with the lack of sleep and feeds etc??

not going to bad on the little sleep im getting. ive been having to get up to illara heaps during the night aswell, shes still tackleing the molars and when shes teething shes very reastless and dreams heaps. elainey is still spending half the night in our bed most nights , anything to get a couple hours sleep. most the time im coping realy well but there has been a few moments were the baby blues has got the best of me but i soon manage to turn it around by looking at my beatiful inocent baby girl. it was a little upseting not getting the birth that i had planned but it is nice to finally have my baby elainey .love being her mummy! :D

Oh Danielle,

I have the massive baby blues and I havent even left hospital yet!!

Alot of mine is related to the trauma of my baby girls birth though and thats going to take some time to work through.

Its so lovely how this stranger walks into your life and you just love them so much instantly!!!
Lara is sleeping quite well at the moment, 4 hourly feeds, but we will see how long that lasts when she gets home! I feel quite tired cause im too busy watching her in her sleep to make sure she is still breathing LOL

Hi Ladies,
Well I was a due in July but went over my due date (28th July) now Im happy to say Im a August mummy.I will also miss my 'Due in July' thread.

Amy I have had the baby blues since yeaterday which was my 3rd day.Its lack of sleep and hormones I reckon  dont worry about it too much my sister cried for weeks after her baby girl was born :(

Lincon Rheece was born on the 1st August at 11am (40weeks + 4days) He weighed at healthy 3890grams which is 8lb 8oz roughly.I had a sucessful VBAC which was an amazing but painful birth :D 8hours long and 2 of those hours was pushing then they had to cut me in the end.
healing up ok but I have a cough and it hurts so much when I cough :(

Well Im looking forward to chatting with you all
Casey xxx

Welcome to August Casey, we are very pleased to have you!!

There are a great bunch of girls in the August thread im sure you will feel right at home in no time!! Where are you from Casey? I had been watching your drawn out wait in the july thread, you poor thing.

Our babies share the same birth date, which is really cool!!

Lara has been really great for a prem baby, she sleeps quite heavily but they say thats just because she is little at the moment, once she gets her growth spurt could be a different story!!

I am taking her home tomorrow which is bit of a scary thought but im super excited about it!!

Hope you August mummies are keeping well xxx

i hear you there. sometimes i think i wake up more tired then i went to bed. sometimes i can still get illara to day nap but thats usually when elainey decides to wake up and by the time i feed her, change her , get her back to sleepdo some washing and grap a bite to eat . illara will b awake then we have to get danae from school. very full tireying days . but i have to say i wouldnt give it up for the world i love being a mummy! :D

Hi ladies and babies,

Amy Im from Perth :D and you where are you from? thats great our LO's share the same birth date. What time was Lara born? My sisters little girls name is Lara, I love the name its so cute.Your probably home by now,how did it go? the ride home and welcoming her to her 'home'? So how prem was Lara? sorry so many questions  :P

D&LAs mummy I know what you mean about by the time you feed, burp, and change nappy, get lunch and what ever else calls for your attention  there is no time for a sleep or even rest. You also have 3 kids  I really dont know how people do it hey?! My younger sisters name is Danae also. Its not a common name but lovely, she is 23yrs old.

AFU everything is going really well, now anyway.I had a bit of a hick up.I had Lincon sat at 11am home from hos at 430pm Sunday. Then on wed night in the shower
(warning TMI)I had a HUGE blood clot come out in the shower, like egg size  I freeked and thought it was part of the placenta (as we saw what the placenta looked like) so I rang the hospital and anyway to cut a really long story and night short, I ended up back in Hospital over night with an infection in my uterus and on a drip for 24hours then I finally sent home with tablets to take. All good now but man that was scary :? Anyway everything else is going really well and Ethan is ajusting well just being a normal 2yr old with naughty tantrams and stuff.
ok Pizza is here gotta go Yumm!! hope all is well with everyone

oh crap i had that happen aswell(the huge blood clot)2 on 2 seperate days, first 1 was big but second only about a marble size. but cause otherwise i wasnt bleeding real much i didnt think it was anythink bad  naughty me. also was getting achy pain in my lower stomach up untill about 2 or 3 days ago . some times it would be bad and i would have to stop in pain maybe thats y i was feeling so sick and week. feeling good now though and no more clots and my bleeding is nearly stoped(sort of on and off)
elainey is doing pretty good . we both have colds though . and she still in my bed second half of the night. hopefully that changes getting hardly any sleep.
