Can I please stay a December 09 mummy????

Bek glad Calan is doing well and is doing all the right things for you. And I hear you about the boobs being like melons

Alexis has had a pretty rough night and morning, she woke at 7 this morning and has now only just gone to sleep after having 3 feeds in that time  so needless to say there were tears on my behalf. Otherwise she is feeding really well and has cut back the time of her feeds, which the midwife assured me yesterday is OK as she is just getting more efficient. We were officially discharged from the hospital yesterday and Alexis only lost 30 grams of her birth weight! Was very proud of her and myself.

Hope all December mums and bubs are doing well and can't wait to have the rest of you join us :D

Nat- Glad Alexis is doing great...:)......Calan is demand feeding and sometimes has feed after feed too!!!!....but he is a very good sleeper at the moment..( touch wood)...Allee was never like that though, so i am enjoying the little bit of relaxation that i get with him...:)

How has Ella been???...Allee has her days- man it can get stressful!!!!!!
where ever i feed she has to be on me and touching me or touching him---arrrgghhhh---hopefully it is just a settling in thing...:)

Alison- how is Levi?
Rach- how is Charlotte?

Hope everyone is well :D :D :D :D

Hey.. I love this thread!!!

Levi is doing really well. He is a delight to us and I am determined to enjoy every stage with him as he is our last bub.

He slept pretty well last night. He is not sleeping for that long ( 3hrs at the most) but he has a feed and goes back to sleep straight away, so last night I was only up with him for half an hour feeding then he went back to sleep.

Our other bubs would be up for hours sometimes ( and thus so would we trying to get them back to sleep)..just hope he continues like this!!

Have a great day and enjoy those newborn cuddles! sooo cute.

Bek, Ella has her moments too and she just can't stop touching Alexis or kissing her or wanting to hold her hand. It's very cute, but when you are a little sleep deprived it can be annoying.

I am also demand feeding Alexis and yesterday she had 10 feeds and they were pretty much every hour and a half, took it out of me! But she repaid me with an awesome sleep last night, last feed was at 9.30pm and she slept til 4.50am  Is this OK for her to do this???? I am so unsure when it comes to breastfeeding on demand as I had to wake Ella to feed when she was a newborn.

Alison - Levi sounds like he is doing wonderfully, how are your other kids with him?

Also big congrats to Simone & Danielle :D

nat---samwe happening here...and yes-it becomes annoying....
i got teary last night that i felt like all i was saying to allee was 'no'...:(
dont jump on the couch while i feed him....dont sit on his body....dont hit him on the head with your car.....dont kick mumma while im holding him....dont poke his face and ears and eyes and nose.....

i know she is being inquisitive---but i feel awful saying no no no..stop stop stop....
i dont want her to get jealous.....so im trying to be more involving with her now....
i agree though- the sleep deprivation does not help at all!!!!

as for feeding---calan slept almost through the 2nd night and i had to wake him to feed...my boobs would of exploded if i didnt!!!...lol....
last night he woke and would only settle in my arms....but its nice to have a cuddle..:)

im amazed at how chilled out he is...... :P

hope everyone is well.....cant wait to see some more pictures!!!!!!

I'm home!! And yay a Dec bubs thread!!

Charlotte is beautiful - but my boobs are soo sore. The first night I had to lie on my back while I fed her because of the surgery and so feeding her at a wierd angle meant she couldn't attach properly. got some cracks on both nips which are slowly healing; but they still end up bleeding by the end of the feed; and when she attaches it is toe-curling pain. I had this with Flynn too; just kinda thought it wouldn't happen 2nd time round :( maybe I just don't know what I'm doing properly.

anyway. I'm off for a lie down whilst both kidlings are asleep. Man I missed Flynn so much and now I'm home he's sleeping  spose I should enjoy it because I will be in here soon complaining that they never sleep at the same time

Hi Girls,

Great to be in this thread :D

Harrison is doing really well, I just had a hospital visit and he has gained 110 grams since Tuesday, so he is feeding like a trooper.

I am also demand feeding, feels like it is all I ever do, but I know it will settle down. This is definatley our last bub as well so I am just enjoying every moment.

Ethan has been really good with him, lot of kisses, but can also get a bit over the top, I get upset as wel saying no to him all the time, but overall he is showing no signs of jealousy so far.

Well as for my labour, we went to the wedding, didn't get home until 1.30am had no pains, went to sleep, woke at 4.20am in a heap of pain, thought I needed to open my bowels, but no i actually needed to push. Thank god my Mum was here, we took off, did 170km/h along the freeway, got to the hospital about 4.40am and gave birth at 5.56am. It was so hard, and fast, didn't even have time for gas. Definatley an experience I tell you. I got 2nd degree tears, originally they thought 3rd degree but they are definatly 2nd thank goodness, as the labour was so fast, but I am healing up really well and feeling quite good today.

I am glad to everyone is doing well, hopefully we have more join us shortly. :)

Happy Birthday Allee!! enjoy your bike.

Charlotte had a pimply rash too; I was told it was because she's new to oxygen.

Sandra should be here soon!! With another girl baby :D :P

I think I might be going a bit crazy - have just had a moment of sadness in the shower......I miss not having my baby in my belly. :(

Is that wierd? I spent the last few weeks going insane with being uncomfy and couldn't wait to meet her......and am so super glad she's here; just miss the special stuff like feeling your belly move and stuff.

anywho.....just came in to post that. are any of you missing your preggy bellies yet? or am I the only crazy one?

btw - this does not mean I am ready for another baby!! managing two at the moment is definitely enough work for me!!

Rach, I think you are ready for another baby

I felt like that after Ethan, but this time don't miss being pregnant. I really feel like our family is complete, I am loving my two baby boys, you might end up with heaps of bubba's Rach which would be lovely

Anywho, our pergola is getting started on Monday (great timing), so I am taking the boys to my parents for a week, so wont be able to get on here.

Look after yourselves, and I will be chatting to you all when I get back, hopefully we have more arrivals by that time.

Simone xx

Yes a big Congrats to Rosie Jayne on Sadie's arrival.

Things are hectic here at the moment. DH owns a business which sees him work a lot of nights and coming into Christmas it is really busy, so I have been on my own a lot this week, which I have found challenging, especially yesterday!!! Lexi decided that it was a fun game to be awake and feeding every hour from 2.30pm til 8.30pm last night  I was feeling rather emotional and was so grateful to see my Mum turn up at 6pm last night otherwise I might be in the corner rocking   Mum finally got her to go to sleep and then the little bugger woke up when I went to bed at 9.15, but she went back after being cuddled. Then at 3am this morning our neighbours decided it was the best time to start blaring Eminem through their stereo, DH had just got home from work and he went to ask them to turn it off/down and one of their friends king hit him and I'm pretty sure that they broke his nose :(

Anyway Lexi has been a lot more settled today and hasn't been feeding every hour. I am finding her awake time is usually from 4 til 7.30, which seems like a long time for her to be awake at this age, but she does fall asleep on the boob, it's just she seems to wake up when you wrap her to put her back in the bassinette....ahhh the joys of a newborn.

How many feeds are your LO's having in a 24 hour period???

Hope everyone is well and the bubs are being kind to their mummy's

OMG NAT- IS YOUR HUBBY OK??????
WHAT ASSSSSSHOLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

are you ok??...maybe lexie is still working out her routine---i know i had trouble with allee when she was born with constant feeding aswell... :|
But calan is a different story- he literally sleeps then eats and poops.....his 'awake time' is hardly at all......

but......night time we are co sleeping.....he generally has 2 feeds a night, sometimes 3.....and we are usually up at 630...(mainly because allee gets up).

but during the day although he sleeps alot- when he wakes he wants a feed :P ....i dont really time it at all as i feed on demand- but it could be every hour every 2 or every 3.... :D
he is very placid and sleeps through all the noise of allee....lol...

but ive hard alot of support being at mum and dads too---so ask me again how im going in 10 days time
and with no husband apart from weekends   :?:

hope you are all doing well...bubs and mums...:)

Nat - your DH must've been so    !!! I would've been filthy, dirty, angry too!!

My nips are no longer bleeding after each feed; still bruised and battered though. It's the latching on that is the killer; once Charlotte is feeding all is OK.

She feeds prob every 3/4 hrs....it was every 4 but in the last few days is coming back to 3. And I think she is trying to increase my supply because at each feed she is awake for about an hr and feeds of both boobs twice......this isn't helping with the bruised/battered nips either  .

I'm managing ok though cause my DH is on hols for the next 5 weeks. So he is up with Flynn first thing in the morning so I can sleep in with bubs. And we are all going down for afternoon nana naps  . Not too sure how I'm going to cope when I'm home alone with them both when DH goes back to work; but then I'm not the first Mum to do it so I'm sure I'll get a routine sorted. I'm hoping though that Charlotte is starting to sleep longer stints at night by then though.
Rachel
