ROP is Retinopathy of prematurity
Quote:
It is an eye disease that affects prematurely born babies. It is thought to be caused by disorganized growth of retinal blood vessels which may result in scarring and retinal detachment. ROP can be mild and may resolve spontaneously, but may lead to blindness in serious cases. As such, all preterm babies are at risk for ROP, and very low birth weight is an additional risk factor

There are 4 stages of ROP...1 being the mildest and 4 being the worst...at stage 3 laser treatment is performed.
Maxx was tested from 32 weeks in hospital...by 36 weeks he had stage 2 zone 2 in both eyes.
We had another eye test today and fortunately the ROP has resolved itself and there was no sign of it. Woohoo!!!
We don't have to go back for 6 months and if that is all clear too then we will see them yearly.
We did the same with Indy but she only had stage 1 in one eye.
So relieved!!!

It was such a fun trip with all three of them...they certainly keep me on my toes...and if one more person told me I had my hands full I was going to scream!!
I really need to get myself a pram for three! 8)

I have a love n care unicoupe with toddler seat...good pram but hard to push while holding a baby and Maxx hates the sling.
I was even thinking maybe a twin side by side with board...but unsure how Emmy would go on it
What are you going to do?

Ive got no idea, I thought Jayde would be over the pram by now but she still spends most of shopping and zoo trips in it :? I just have the steelcraft duo and you can add anything to that as its only a stroller. Hope my new one likes the sling
Robyns is great but that would drive me nuts at shopping centres with being so wide

That's great news Lisa, Maxx is a strong little boy and determined not to let anything get in his way :)

Slightly OT but was at the shops this afternoon and there was a lady pushing a side by side with toddler seat, the shopping was in the pram and 2 y/o twins (looked like) were on straps and a baby in a sling, the twins were singing as loudly as possible, which I thought was cute :D :D

thats fantastic news!

can you put Indiana in the sling and Maxx in the pram??

I usually end up carrying Cooper and having the older 2 in the pram, or he goes in the ergo.
