I am just wondering how many weeks our twin mummies were when you went into labour and gave birth and if you had any warning of it happening etc.

I don't even know where to start.
They started monitoring the length of my cervix at 25 weeks as it was short. I was put on light duties (they told me I wasn't even supossed to lift Mikayla in and out of the car) and at 30 weeks they decided that they were coming early weather we liked it or not so I got given the steriod shots to help theier lungs develop quicker.
At 31 weeks I picked Mikayla up one night and felt a trickle down my leg that I thought was my water breaking.
I spent a week in hospital while they tried to figure out if it was or not. The babies also decided this week to develop unstable heartrates (constantly running high) but they decided that it was just normal for them. They also told me that I was 3 cms dilated.
Pretty much after this I started loseing my plug I think. I started gettign heaps more CM, but it was always clear so I didn't think anything of it.
At 12:30 am when I was 35+3 my waters broke. I called the hospital straight away and was told to come in then, not to wait for contractions.
I had my first contraction at 1:30 and by 3 I had 2 babies.

I was booked to have a c-section with my twins at 37 weeks, only because twin A was breech.
But at 34 weeks at about 10:30 at night my waters broke and contractions started straight away - 2 hours later I was in theatre having my boys via c-section :D

I had a c-s as both babies were transverse but if you're having twinges or worried at all.... go to your hospital to be checked out. Some twin mums go into labour without even realising it. Make sure you have plenty of fluids and rest often. Try not to exhaust yourself.

Four days before my twins were born i had a show, its a bleed but brown in color. I called my OB who told me to come down straight away to see her, i didnt have anyother pains or contractions. I was at the end of my 36th week by then and i was due to have the twins by C-section at 38.5 weeks. After some tests it was decided that all is ok and i can go home. But she told me to stay close to home incase your waters broke. That was a Friday. On the Monday and the start of my 37th week i woke up at 2am to pee, i saw a tinge of blood on my pad but i thought i was seeing things so i didnt think much of it. I went back to bed, as i was laying in bed i was thinking about the blood and i started getting period cramps which i am told are contractions. I had them on and off the night before. Half an hour later I got up to double check this blood and as i got up i felt this gush and ran for the bathroom.

After calling the hospital they told me to come down, i had a shower and made my way there. It was 3:30am when i arrived in hospital and the twins were born by C-Section at 5:33am and 5:34am.

Four and a half years later they are healthy little boys who are excited about starting prep next year.

Thankyou for all of your replies. I have been getting alot of cramping on and off for a couple of weeks now but had no shows or anything serious. Been to hospital once 3 weeks ago and wasn't contracting or dialating or anything. Actually last night after a warm shower i noticed (and hubby) that my bump has dropped as low as it can go and it has always been quite high. I have been having niggles and such since but have taken it easy and have a scan on monday morning so looking forward to that and waiting it out until then to see if anything is happening. I do hope it is nothing so far as it is way too early for my little girls to be born yet. I will let you know how it goes on monday after my scan and my dr app. xxx

Sadly I have never gone into spontaneous labour, not even with the twins. I was induced at 38wks (which for twins they consider "term").
Me (31), DH (33), Kayla (12), Caden (4) and Charlee (4) and Jhett (2)

I actually had two lots of Gel to get things started too, they were comfortable (don't know how though LOL) and stubborn.

We stayed for about 5 days I think. They were both with me as soon as I returned to my room and the only reasons we had to stay was because Charlee had a touch of Jaundice and they wanted to test Caden for a few things as he only had two arteries in his cord instead of three when in utero. Also it was the first time attempting breastfeeding and Charlee just would not co-operate. oh and because twin two was C-Section, and my first C-section at that, may have had a little part to play in it too.
