Hello ladiesBigGrin

Angela, yay for shearing, not the extra work and hectic time, but it means so much closer to button being here and the shearing being finished in time. Bugger about the blood sugar. Hopefully no assessment will be needed.

Clarissa, you poor thing. I must admit, my braxton hicks don't hurt, they're just very uncomfortable, luckily as they get worse with each pregnancy.

Chucky, my brain has gone on holiday every pregnancy and never fully returned after each one, lol. I'm sure you'll remember your questions once you're there, if not I'd be happy to help answer any I could.

Emma the first March bub! So glad you know now and pfft to the midwife trying to pressure you. I had an attempted ECV with Anara, it didn't work and she was delivered a week later, but in all truth, being your 8th bub, she most likely would have turned again even if it was successful.

Dani, whinge away. You're heavily pregnant, have young kids to take care of and doing it mostly on your own. I think that entitles you to a whinge.

Clare yay on full term, boo on backpain.

As for me, well I can't really complain. My BH's are uncomfortable, but not painful, in fact everything is uncomfortable but only time anything hurts is if I have over done it, or getting out of bed, my pelvis aches for about 5 mins, then it's all good. Been doing lots of sorting here and trying to get the house ready for a rent inspection on Wed. Stupid nesting is making the cleaning a much bigger task than it should be though, grrr.

Anyways, chin up ladies, not long to go now ♥♥♥♥

Hi Girls,

Hope everyone is well. Welcome back Demelza, looks like you had a great time in Bali. The pic's look great on FB.

I also have a body pillow and i love it. When i turn to one side i have my pillow and then the other side i throw my legs over DH, so I'm comfy either way. Although my hips have started hurting the last couple of days, especially my right side.

I had my GD test done last Thursday and unfortunately the results came back a little high, so i have booked in for the two hour test on Thursday. Just when you think everything is going well, something like this pops up, but it's ok i have to tell myself that things like this happen, we just have to deal with them as they come.

I also had my 4D scan on Saturday and our little mischief maker didn't want to behave. She ...yes at least she confirmed that she is still a she ... lol... was facing my back for most of the time, so we couldn't get a good look at her. Then i was told to go for a walk and get a slurpie to see if she would turn around and get a little active. Came back and she did turn around, but had her hand and foot in front of her face. So we only got to see a little of her face and chubby cheeks. My placenta is also in the front so it made it even more hard to see. But the guy that was doing the u/s was so sweet and patient, we stayed there about 2 hrs and didn't have much luck, so he asked me to come in again this Saturday to see if we can get a better look at her. I hope she behaves and shows us her beautiful face. I had both DH's parents and nona along with my family there.

Take care all.

Happy Valentines Day!

Hi Ladies,

I hope everyone has had a good weekend although it sounds like some of you have been overdoing it instead of relaxing - not that I can talk lol, there's always things to do.

Lee, hopefully bub will behave next time and you can get a good pic.

I had my GCT on Friday but I don't see my dr again until this friday so I won't know the results until then. The worst bit about that test is the headache afterwards. Way too much sugar Tongue

DS has been very clingy for the last week. Has anyone else experienced this? I was thinking maybe it's because of the baby and he's trying to get more attention now? It's mainly when DH leaves for work in the morning and then when I leave him at childcare. Prior to last week he would just walk off as soon as we got there and start playing and not even notice when I said bye. I'm hoping it's not a sign of things to come IYKWIM.

Tyson doesnt get really clingy.. he is actually completely ignoring anything to do with the baby at the moment.. I think its a faze they all go through, some become attached others don't. He might be a little under the weather due to being clingy also? But these things come and go with kids..

I look forward to when tyson meets the baby.. I actually think he will understand once he see's me in a hospital bed with a baby.. well I hope so! Im pretty sure he will.. But i guess we shall see!

Ouch shan hope your hands are ok! id be a sook also!

ive lost another kilo :D so im down to 99kg and a total loss of 16kg! I am happy with this!

Sarah, I get those Ligament pains too. Makes sleeping a bit of a bugger hey? How weird to feel bub kicking your cervix. Can't say that I have experienced that!

Hayley ~ Wow! You are doing well with the weightloss. I have a lot of work to do when baby comes...

Shan ~ Ouch with the burn on your hand. Bugger of a place to burn too!

Blackfox ~ I'm not sure in regards to your DS clingyness. Hopefully it is just a stage. I remember that Charli went through a stage of becoming clingy at 18 months. It was a little frustrating, but they do get over it. Good Luck with the GCT test. I have to wait a week for my results too.

Lee ~ The positive about bub misbehaving is that you get to see her again! YAY! Did you get some pics that you want to share? I love seeing the 4D ultrasounds. I don't think we have a machine here in Alice Springs.

AFM ~ I went to the hospital today just to get the pain checked. They aren't sure what is causing it, but did lots of checks. My BP is finally normal again, my blood sugar level was 3.5 which is great, urine okay, baby's heartbeat great... so I dunno. Just something that I have to deal with I guess!

Glucose testing tomorrow morning...

URGH... :( after having such a great day yesterday and feeling fantastic, today of course turns out to be the start of a horrible one.. so sick of feeling like this.. having one good day and then one really emotional crying day :(! I know this is going to sound horrible.. but i want this baby out! so sick of feeling this hormonal and depressed.. it just hits me! i cant control it or anything.. its this huge amount of grief that seems to just smack me in the head when I wake up.. its so dumb..

bring on 39 weeks... i know that sounds really selfish.. but I was the same with tyson.. really down and out during pregnancy had good days and then crap days.. and as soon as I had him i felt fantastic.. i didnt have those baby blues or anything.. I just felt so free again!

its crazy what pregnancy can do i guess!

URGH... DH is coming home early today.. so that will be good.

ducky: hehe Thanks for that order. Easier said then done!! lol At least after next week it should be easier. I start my maternity leave on the 25th so i'm in count down mode at the moment. So can't wait!!

Emma: First March baby wow!! I bet your getting excited. I hope you get your date today. Good luck fingers crossed it's sooner and not later.

Dani:You deserve to have a whinge and at least on here no one will judge you. I couldn't do it on my own. As much as i whinge about my DP going out and all that stuff, he really is a great dad and a great help. I don't know if i could do it on my own like you and other mummies on here! You do a GREAT JOB!!!

AFM, nothing new here. Still suffering with this pain just under my (.V.) kind of feels like a stretching pain but it won't go away. I use to have it in the early stages when everything was stretching but now it's just painful and annoying!! Have another GP appointment tomorrow (Wednesday) so GP can check my BP (fingers crossed it's behaving). She said last week that she'll see me every week now till it's time. Just trying to organise everything for my baby shower. Anyone know a good place for decorations, balloons, paper plates, cups and napkins? Would like everything in a pink theme but it's looking like it will cost a small fortune if i do. I found a lady on here that does invites, if anyone ever needs hand made invitations. Her name is Jacki Harris and she has done an excellent job!! Anyone know some good baby shower games that are easy and fun? I know the peg game and have found a "Pin the dummy on the baby" game. Any other good ones?
Anyway, talking about work i guess i better do some since there's not long to go!!
Take care everyone and relax when you can

Hi Mishasmum, while I can't help with baby shower supplies - I can suggest a few baby shower games - that I have seen (and played) at baby showers - both at mine and at friends baby showers....

1) Which Peg game do you know? The one where each guest is given say 5 pegs - and a common rule is given - e.g. if a guest says the word, "coffee" (or crosses their legs or something) during the party - another guest hears it - and can take peg from the person who said the forbidden word? Guest with most pegs at the end - wins....

Or other Peg game - set up a " white folding clothes rack" (approx $15.00 at cheap bargain stores) with say 30 pegs spread out all over it.... each guest (one at a time) is then given a chance to collect as many pegs as they can - in one hand only..... without dropping any.... and in the other hand they are holding a kids dolly to their shoulder (representing a baby in real life LOL ) and a phone to their ear.... the guest who gets the most in one hand without dropping any - wins...

2) "Baby nappy race" - Find 3 kids dolls or teddy bears (approx baby size) from your kids (or cheap shops).... and setup races of "3" guests in a row - who can change a nappy (just grab some disposables) and wrap baby the quickest.... (add certain rules - say one handed or blindfolded etc)

3) "Unwrap the gifts blind folded" - pretty self explanatory - you have to be given a blindfold (and some assistance) to slowly unwrap each gift in front of the group - and guess what each one is....

4) "Memory game" - needs paper and pen for each guest.... for first hour of party - have a "tray set up" with baby things on it - and guests get to look at tray and try and remember everything on it (not writing it down) - e.g. bottle, spoons, bibs, dummy, nappy etc etc...

Later the tray is covered by sheet and everyone has to write down on paper everything they remember - guests who remember the most (and give extra points for detail - colour of item etc) - win...

5) Preprint a list of say 25 words - scrambled baby words and give copy to all guests and a pen - they have to "unscramble" each word...

6) Baby names game - paper and pen - ask everyone to come up with as many baby names as they can using letters from a certain "preset word" - e.g. say "Chocolate" - everyone is given say 3 minutes and has to come up with names starting with "C" and "h" and "o" etc.... most names win...

7) Hand bag game - prewrite a list of things people might have in their hand bag.... and then start calling out things - pen, wallet, keys, phone - etc - and then person with the most things - wins!

8) Ask guests to bring "baby photos" of themselves - and put these up a "notice board" with a "number" on it.... after all arrive - then get guests to try and write out personal list of who they think each baby photo is (e.g. No1) mary no2) Kate No3) Susan etc)... and most to get it at all correct wins....

Hope this helps and gives you some ideas - have a great party!

Oh Hayley, I am so sorry that you are having a bad time. I know how debilitating depression is. You don't sound selfish hun. It's hard when your mind isn't in the right place. Carrying a baby is draining. Lucky you not suffering the baby blues! I had them so bad on about the 3rd day. Crying at the drop of the hat. I cried because I still had my canular in! LOL Have a rest when DH comes home, or so something for you!

I just got back from my glucose test. I managed not to spew. Thank gosh. My arm is a little sore though. Last time they swapped arms, this time the same arm got three needles... It's all worth it though!

Sarah, how are you going with the GD?

Anyway, might head into town for lunch to meet my bestie. Although, a nap sounds so good at the moment!!!

Hi Ladies,

ohh hayley :( Chin up.. Im with you though.. fastforward the rest of feb/mar/apr and bring on may!!!
Have you ever thought of seeing a psycologist if you think it is more the just hormones and its becoming more of a depression. You dont wont it to turn into PND when bubs is born.. I am back seeing mine once a week and i allways feel heaps better after my sessions with her and more positive.. now i am back seeing her i feel so much more optimistic and i actually get out of the house now other then for work. Its good because i can let things out to her that i wouldnt even talk to anyone about even dp.

Kaz, oh gosh! 27 weeks is soo early.. I hope she has a little fighter on her hands.

Demelza, thats good you got it checked out and all your other obs are good.. sucks you have to put up with the pain.. i was talking to a midwife the other day and she said that sometimes some ladies just have pains throughout there preg they just cant explain and some ladies bleed through-out with no explaination and some contract, like me and there is just no explaination or reasons for it.
Good luck with the glucose testing today.

Sarah, Kicks to the cervix does not sound very pleasant! heat bags are amazing.. i think i might have to drag mine out soon.. although its just too god damn hot in perth atm to use heat treatment thou. Can you freeze the wheat bags or did i just make that up in my head lol.. i swear ive heard it or read it before.

Well, i am feeling very lucky today.. my boss came in at 9am and said that i look like i need to go back to bed and sent me home.. yey!! i did have a **** night sleep last night but i dont feel overly tired. i might just lay off the makeup more often lol. although i am really starting to struggle when the alarm goes of at 4.30am! good practice i guess.

I bought this pregnancy yoga dvd a while ago so i might do some yoga this morning :)..

Nice list!! I have a couple games too,

♥ freeze in an icecube those tiny plastic babies or jelly babies if you cant find them. Aim of the game is when everyone arrives, they get a drink with ice plus 1 with a baby, first baby to melt out of cube wins a prize.

♥ Take a ball of wool/string around to everyone and get them to unravel & cut off as much as they think you are around the belly. Some play it so they have to wind the string around their hands so its a bit tricker to gauge how much to unwind. Closest to your actual size wins.

♥ The poo poo nappy, get 3 cheap disposables (or can even cut out of cardboard) and in each nappy, melt a different choc bar ie a marsbar in 1, a caramello in the next & maltesers in the last. Looks gross, but really funny watching women put their noses in the "poo". Guests then write down whats in what nappy & closest to it wins :)

♥ Do a little questionaire, I had celebrity babies - put what baby name with what celebrity, scramble words of everyday baby items, missing words from nursey rhymes, etc, this is an easy one to do up yourself.

As for baby shower supplies, spotlight is always good for that. Pick a colour & they have pretty much everything (napkins, cups, plates, cutlery, balloons) I made up my own bunting flags, super easy! I sewed lil triangle flags & threaded them onto a ribbon. Or ive seen cardboard ones too, they look really cute, just cut triangles & staple to a ribbon. I hung a lil clothes line up across the room & pegged up a few lil cute baby outfits & hung balloons. Simple, yet effective :)

Hope that helps :)
