Hi ladies!

I'm just joining this thread, we are due on I think Feb 13th BigGrin

I had an appointment with my GP yesterday and she gave me a referal for a scan at around the 12 week mark, and discussed the down syndrome scan but we decided to just have a normal/basic ultrasound instead of the tests.

I cannot wait until the scan - I remember when I was pregnant with Baylee I didnt quite beleive I was pregnant until our first ultrasound, and I think I'm the same this time round... I'm sort of wary of getting too excited incase something goes wrong Sad but having said that I am over the moon and so releived BigGrin

Oooh I love the chattering about baby names... For a boy I am pretty set on Noah, and Anthony (DF) wants his name to be the middle name, so Noah Anthony if we have a boy (at this stage!!) and for a girl we are a bit undecided.

I love the name Madeline, and DF likes it too, but he absolutely loves the name Charlotte and is pretty stuck on it. I love Charlotte too but I'm not sure about such a top-ten name... though Noah is too these days! For a girl I am loving Faith for a middle name.

I'm so happy to be here and in a due-date thread Dancing

Yay yay yay... welcome to the thread!! We both have a Dec 08 baby and now we will have a Feb 12 baby too!!! Woot

I know what you mean about top 10 names. So many of them I like but having the most common name of the 70's and 80's myself I try to steer away from the top 100!! I really want something different but not weird.

I was looking at names last night all night Blushing and I couldn't find any really that I am keen on. I added a few to the short list but none of them are THE name!!

Thanks heaps Cindy! It took us a little while, but we got the egg in the end BigGrin

A huge congratulations to Larissa as well ThumpUp

I went and got some pregnancy multiviatamins this morning and looked for the mother and baby magazine but I couldn't find it. I don't think I really need to read them as I've already had two and I read every magazine possible while pregnant with them but a lot can change in 3 years I guess so I'll read them anyway Laugh

As for names, I do have a girls name I've had my heart set on since DD's pregnancy but DH didn't like it then so I don't think he'll like it now. We had decided on Seth if DD was a boy as well but DH has said he doesn't like it anymore Brick wall

I think I've waffled on enough now, have a good day girls!! BigGrin

Hi ladies,

welcolme to the newbies!

Bek - needles are bad enough done once, let alone 3 times. I had a trainee nurse take my last one as well and she only filled a third of the tube. I was so worried that she would have to do another one. Fortunately the senior nurse who was also present at the time advised that there should be enough in the test tube to test for the HCG hormones. phew!BigGrin

Trish - any news from the scan? Are they twins?!?

belly rubs to all.

Hi girls. Mind if I join Smile . I'm due 10 Feb with #3.

Am actually looking forward to enjoying the whole 9 months this time round....because like Bek, it's most probably our last baby.

I'm going to go see my GP next week sometime to get this going.

Wow, our little group is growing, hi new ladies and congrats!! BigGrin

Haha Bec, I saw you were pregnant before I announced mine and I thought "aww that's so cool we both are again!!" Smile

I have a question, should I be worried my doctor hasn't done a HCG blood test for me? I had a blood test about 6 weeks ago where they tested for aids, hepititus etc (I think it's a standard pre-natal test) and all my levels were great, and when I saw my doctor she said seeing as I'd already had those tests and they were fine, and I'd gotten 2 positive home pregnancy tests she wont worry about doing another blood test.

At the time I thought it was odd but ok, but now a few days later I'm just wondering if I should get one done? I think it's more for my own reassurence, though there are two very positive tests. Does all that sound stupid? I'm so paranoid Blushing

Ugh, is everyone else already soooo tired?! I know it's so early days but by the time it gets to after lunch I am sooo ready for a sleep. I've had a nap every day this week so far and still slept well each night.

Has everyone told many people IRL yet? We've told our families, and a couple of close friends and today I sort of blurted it out at my mum's group too... I am the worst secret keeper, but I then feel scared because if anything goes wrong I then have heaps of people to un-tell Unsure

I hope everyone's having a great day Smile

Hey larissa, if you aree worried about the HCG test by all means, any clinic doctor will refer you for bloods, i myself only heard my levels today and put my mind at ease.

as for being tired- i normally get very sluggish after eating but its much worse now, i even fall asleep in my chair by 8.30pm which is so weird

I'm also bad with keeping this a secret but i think in your mind you know whether to blurt or not.

All the best xxx ThumpUp

Hi all... well for me the drama starts. Sad Unsure Brick wall

Last 2 pregnancies I have had major blood pressure issues, pre-eclampsia and last pregnancy only, HELLP Syndrome.

I saw my doc again today to get my blood test results. They were all great. He took my blood pressure though and it was really high. (155/115) He has put my on blood pressure meds and given me a referral to a high risk ob which he has ticked as urgent. I have to go up to the hospital this afternoon and drop in my referral. I was really hoping for an uneventful pregnancy this time round. *Sigh*

Thanks Trish! I might settle for doing another home test next week or something maybe, I'll see. I think it's just until I see the ultrasound I dont quite beleive it Blushing

Aww Bek, that sounds like a stressful start Sad Do you know what it means apart from the blood pressure tablets, like is that just how they treat it or is there more to it? I hope they can sort it all out quickly and you have a smooth pregnancy!

Hope everyone has a good, relaxing weekend, woohoo for a long weekend (in Vic anyways, does everyone get monday off?) BigGrin
