Blushing Thanks for the welcomes everyone! ThumpUp Looking forward to an uneventful 8months ahead! Pray And also getting to know you all! Laugh

Welcome also to Eileen, Caz & Jen.

Pray Hoping you'll be joining us soon too Nic! Pray

Hoping your pregnancy is an easy ride Caz and so glad you fell quickly! Smile Wouldn't it be funny if your LO's were born on the same day, I know of a family where they're all born on the same day, all 3 kids! OhMyGod Yeh I think that would be one expensive day! LOL
ThumbDown Booo about the wait until 12wks!! ThumbDown

Jen I hear you, bring on the next 8wks! Pray ThumpUp Can't wait to make it past that first trimester - I personally haven't made it that far before and this is my 3rd pregnancy Boo hoo! Good Luck, I hope all is ok for you and you have a sticky one in there! Pray Lol How about also working full time to that list, its just not possible to get the rest they recommend to combat morning sickness.

Emjay Can't say I have had the reflux before, I know ladies in other threads who have been complaining about it, maybe check out a few other due in threads to see what they're all using to combat the reflux. (I'm following a few Blushing) Good Luck at your scan! Pray

Robynhere's hoping you're right about all having sticky bubs! Pray Pray

AFMStarting to get a bit of nausea in the evenings now ThumbDown Not tired yet, taking VitD as it is as my levels were low, so I am hoping it will help that - not to mention I am also sleeping in at the moment because I am on Holidays until the end of this week. My undies are already getting tight around the legs and things, this hasn't happened before so early, its normally about wk6 I get that. So it is a bit uncomfy atm. No sore Boobies either yet!

I have my OB appt on Thursday and I am hoping she may be able to access my test results from my OBGYN appt to see if I need to take anything to have a sticky bub and I am going to Adelaide tomorrow as well so I will be popping into the hospy where my OBGYN works and letting them know to pass it onto the OBGYN that I am UTD and need my results ASAP! FXed I can get something sorted Pray Pray This is the bit I am worried about, another MC from something I can prevent (provided my test results come back with something I need to do something about) otherwise I am in the clear, just don't like this waiting period and not knowing the results. Boo hoo!

We're not telling anyone until 12wks. DP's parents know and that is it, long story but mine aren't finding out until 12wks as my DP's parents are more like my parents then they are.

Any way, I best go.
Have a nice night & sorry for the novel! Blushing

DP 25 & Me 24= DS

Hi All,
Hope you don't mind me crashing, this is my first venture into forumspace, and as I've got an EDD of 5th April (my Mums birthday, she'll be stoked when I tell her), I wanted to talk to some awesome women in the same boat as me.ThumpUp

Only found out for sure last Thurs, but have another appt this Fri for extra follow-up. This is number 2 (the first is nearly 8yrs now), and it's kinda like the first time all over again. It's such a comfort to know that all the cramps, nausea and stuff are normal.

Hope all goes well, for all of us,

LOL A BIG congrats Eileen, Jen, Scarecrow Mum and Caz!! Sooooo excited to have you all on board and looking forward to sharing the next 8 mths with you all Wub

So estatic to hear your news Casey, I really really hope this one is a sticky one for you and everything goes smoothly. AND we are due on the same day!! LOL Hooray!!

Jen, really sorry to hear that your last 2 pregnancies were difficult Crying I think it is definately only fair that this time around everything goes super smoothly for you Pray I lost my 1st (and only) baby at 20wks, so am definately feeling anxious about the 1st trimester (and 2nd!) as well.

Emjay, I have 2 friends who are currently pg and they both complain of terrible reflux Sick I think for one of them it started quite early on also, I think around 10 weeks.

Robyn, how exciting about your scan next week, I'm sure we will all have our fingers crossed for you ThumpUp

AFM, my m/s isn't as bad as the first time, but I may have just jinxed myself so we will see what happens in the coming weeks! Just a bit of nausea in the morning, which I can cope with. Finding that my pants are getting a little tight (already?!) so maybe I'm going to 'pop out' a little quicker this time?! I'm really not sure, I didn't put on any weight last time, so we'll see. I'm hoping it's not just me!!
Finding that I fluctuate between being super excited and then really anxious and nervous, just hanging out for my first scan!!Anxious

Hope you all have a great day, look after yourselves xxx

Hi everyone!

Just a quick question because I am at work....

I have been getting on and off fluttering just above my pubic bone. I know its not baby, my only guess is uterus stretching but it feels very strong and strange. I have Googled and found other women have felt this but people seem to dismiss it as gas and in peoples head, but I know its neither! Has anyone else felt this?

I feel so different to first time...almost not excited...but I know I am...I guess I just know whats coming :)

Wow, April is filling up! July must be a great BDing month :)

Hey Caz, I don't have that 'fluttering' feeling myself, but I do have almost a stitch like sensation which I also put down to the uterus stretching. A friend of mine had a similar feeling to you earlier on and her obgyn told her that it was either a) the uterus stretching b) stomach/bowel gurgling as they start to become more squashed or c) all of the above!! BigGrin

Hope this helps!! BigGrin

Hi All,

Wow the April group is filling up nicely! Yay!!! Welcome Scarecrow Mum!

Thanks for all the warm welcomes, I hope that this will be a sticky bean and I can stay with u lovely ladies for the whole journey :)

Nic - I hope u get ur BFP and jump into this great group with us soon!

Caz - I have not had the fluttering but have had cramping over the last few weeks and strtching sensations which I think is the uterus stretching. Oh and my brother and I are born on the same day just 2 years apart - I always hated it!

Jen - I hope u r doing well. I am also nervously waiting to reach 12 weeks before I announce to everyone, even though we have told a select few just to have a bit moral support incase something does go wrong.

Emjay - I haven't had reflux but I hope it eases up for u soon as it doesn't sound fun :(

Robyn and Musie - u must be so excited, not long now until ur scans!!! It was so amazing to see and also hear the heart beat on Tuesday - I can't wait for our next scan in a couple of weeks!

alliciak - Maybe u just won't get m/s....this is my third pregnancy and hopefully first baby, but with my previous pregnancies as well as this one I never got m/s so we could just be the lucky ones!

Casey - it sounds like we have very similar stories with miscariage. It is really hard and I am praying to get through the first trimester, as I have never got that far before. But one thing which is really helping is being so closely monitored and supported by our doctor and the hospital. I have had 4 blood tests and will be having scans every 2 weeks. I have also had to take pregnyl shots twice a week to boost my progesterone - but all of this is strangely reasuring. I hope everything goes well at ur Ob appt tomorrow.

AFM I am just feeling really tired and constantly hungry....not for anything in particular, just anything going! I am working part time until the end of the month as I had my in-laws to stay for while and needed to take care of them, but think I might try and extend my part time arrangements until the end of September just to get me through the first trimester. I am trying to rest as much as possible and DH has been really good helping with the housework and cooking so I can nap in the afternoons guilt free!

Welcome to all the new ladies joining us April is going to be a busy month.

Jenjen I had a friend from mothers group get something from the doctor that is safe to take during pregnancy for a cold not sure what it was though.

I'm hearing u ladies with the heartburn I only got it in the last trimester the first time around but got ms so I guess there always is a trad.

Just wondering when u ladies booked ur midwifes appointments my doctor said to wait a few weeks as was only 4-5 weeks so a bit confused as to when to book in.

Anyway I'm off for now hope we all continue to have a uneventful normal pregnancySmile

Welcome Cassiec and congratulations!

Cat - I have already been to an information session at RPA Birthing Cantre and got my first midwife appt booked for 12th October! Since my first pregnancy in 2008 I have been planning my birth at the birthing centre (hopefully a water birth!) Everyone thinks I am mad, but after nearly 5 years TTC I think I am allowed to indulge in these things :) I am being monitored more by accident at another hospital though, as I was about to go into surgery for a laparoscopy and ovarian drilling when a blood test revealed i was pregnantScared

We were about to go down the IVF path after that so it was a shock BFP to say the least! Anyway, since then the doctor at the IVF clinic has been doing all my blood tests and scans, and as no one else is doing anything until October I am quite happy about that!

Morning!

Congrats Cassie, such a happy surprise for youBigGrin

I was wondering about early scans. I have yet to book for my 12 week, and was wondering what the benefits are for doing an early.

Thanks for your help. Have just discovered it's awesome to be able to talk to women in the same place as me. Such a weight offSmile

Wishing you all an awesome day,

Cat my first antenatal appt is booked for when I'm approx 10wks, which is the 8th Sept, I think that tends to be the norm. I think for my piece of mind I wanted to book in asap, just to get the 'ball rolling' and make sure they could book me in for all the tests I'm going to have.

Scarecrow mum I was offered an early scan just as a bit of piece of mind, due to my last pregnancy. I think you could definately ask for one though, the benefit being that it gives you a better indication of the actual due date and if the heartbeat is strong at 8weeks, your chance of miscarriage drops to 3%...which is a massive reassurance Laugh

How is everyone feeling? I've noticed that most of us are just really tired Sleep and m/s is behaving itself!!

AFM my m/s was horrid the first time, but so far I am only having the odd wave of nausea-so I'm not complaining!!! LOL Really tired and quite bloated-which makes it difficult to do my pants up!!! d'oh!

Hope you all have an awesome day xxx

Hey Lovelies.
So, my darling princess has passed her gastro on to me, so really not fun right now! can't be more than a few metres from the toilet at all times :( but this is a very nasty strain of gastro, Izzy started with it on Saturday and still isn't allowed to go to childcare as she STILL has diarrhoea! :( So now i'm at home, feeling miserable, but still trying to chase after princess. Not very fun!
Just hoping this doesn't put bubby at any risk, as I can't keep any food or liquid in :(
Caz- I have had the fluttering a bit as well, and I know it's too early to be bubby, but man it feels like it at times! (obviously right now though, all fluttering has NOTHING to do with pregnancy! :( )
Welcome and congratulations to the new ladies in the group! All my thoughts and prayers for us all to have healthy sticky babies!!
Hope everyone is feeling nice and healthy, or at least better than me!!
I got my first midwife appointment on 16th September, praying I make it! I'm going to insist on being sent for a 12 week scan, whether they're willing to do it at the hospital, or I'll pay to go to a radiologist and get it done myself! I need to see and hear bubby before I can feel happy about it all and make my announcements!

Hi ladies!

Welcome cassie and scarecrowmum and a big congratulations!!!

Oooh jenjen gastro is bad enough let alone when you are pregnant! hope it passes quick!

Caz i have felt fluttery sensations but i have a funny tummy so just put everything down to gas Blushing

Cat are you going private or public? here in tas they book it all for me and i get a letter in the mail to tell me of details, of course if it is not good timing i can ring and change. Normally dont have booking in until 10-12 weeks but maybe different each states.

Yes Allicia i have noticed ms has been kind to most of us, hope it stays that way! i get a bit yucky feeling but constantly hungry and eating so soon fixes it.

scarecrow mum i also have early scans due to previous m/c. Cant wait to see a little heartbeat though on monday!

Eileen that happened to me last time! i think because i gave up TTC and put it all into science's hands it made me relax a lot more and then BAM BFP.

Dont know about anyone else but OMG my pants are already too tight!! may have something to do with not walking daily (bad weather) and eating like nothing else!

Hey ladies,

Im going to attempt to do personals BigGrin I have unfortunately been struck down with the flu!!! Sad

JenJenThats terrible! I hope you are better soon, im sure bub will take everything it can from you and will be A ok BigGrin

Scarecrowmum I never had an early scan with DD but AF was like clock work right down to the time, but with this bub i havent actually had AF since march whilst we were on holidays in thailand. So yes quite a shock! BT said we were roughly 5wks so booked a scan so should be nearly 7wks next week i think Blushing Confused

Eileen We too were heading back down the IVF path after 3 failed cycles in October and to be hit with this suprise BFP. Is amazing ThumpUp LOL Unfortunately though, i am doing my head in wondering if everything is ok!

cat I too am wondering this, the current Dr i am see at the moment wont be the dr delivering my bub, Singleton hospital wont touch me they dont take on any labour that isnt out of the normal. In my case possibly induced and if i end up the GD like i did with DD both them and the Dr wont see me, so i then go though a specialist at maitland, which i am not worried about i actually would prefer maitland over singleton BigGrin

Alicia I have so far been lucky, i havent been hit with any MS just the tiredness. But its not that bad, and im starting to get quite worried about it. Appitite isnt that increased either. But in saying that i am eating more then i have the past 3mths due to doin the tony ferguson diet, so wondering what the go is thereBlushing Confused Sad

mumsie Good luck for tomorrow hun, cant wait to hear how your scan goes ThumpUp what time do you have it?

casey How'd your appt go today?? Hope you got some answers xoxo

Robyncass, cazP How are you all feeling?

Tried my best ladies to get through everyone, cant go too far back to do extreme personals ThumbDown

AFM, Feeling very worried atm with all your symptoms and that im starting to freak out Crying No increased appatite, belly is a bit harder i can tell hubby cant lol. Heart burn gone today, but is that a good or bad thing Confused A little tired, not too much. Just want wednesday to hurry up and come, and then the rest of our pregnancy can take its time. Especially not know if ill ever be UTD again!

Eileen - I don't think ur crazy for wanting a water birth and after waiting 5 years u should have anything u want I personally think whatever u can do for yourself in light of the pain we go through the better.

Scarecrow mum - I think the ultrasound techs will tell u when u book if it to early for the scan at least they did for me last time.

Jenjen - gastro is painful at the best of times let alone pregnant and looking after a child hope it is gone quick and u feel better soon.

Robyn - going public my mum was a midwife at the local hospital so get really special treatment there always nice during childbirth.

Emjay - I haven't got many symptoms also get a bit more tired and have tender chest U can't help but worry why are we programed this way we should be glad there no ms.

Casey - hope all went well at your app.

Mumsie - Good luck with ur scan

Caz - I understand that feeling so different from first time like it's not real at all

Allicia - hope your ms is staying away.

Sorry if I have missed anyone. Booked my appointment for 9th sep the first time available wasn't that busy 3 years ago must be a big increase in babies this year. So far no ms unlike last time crossing my fingers we haven't told anyone as yet keeping quiet until ultrasound then I will know it's really happening. Just can't wait till my little boy gets his brother or sister every time we see his 2 month old cousin he wants to take him home and give him cuddles and kisses and is happy when I'm holding him was so worried he would be upset but I think so far he should be great.
