I cam across this the other day and as we never find out the gender before the big day, thought I'd give it a go. The theory is, you get a teaspoon of bicarb in a cup, pee on it, it if fizzes you are having a boy, no fizz it's a girl.

Mine didn't fizz BigGrin Which would be funny if it is a girl, as DH and I are certain that we'll be having another girl.

Anyone who is pregnant and knows the gender willing to give it a try? I know it's just a bit of fun Smile Seems a bit safer than peeing on Drano though!

I bought a BIG box of it the other day as I use it for cleaning, so thought I could spare a teaspoon :)

I should give it a go, got plenty of bi carb.

That said even the ring test was wrong for me with Jimmy, I have never heard of the ring test being wrong!

I am sure this bi crab one would all come down to what you have been drinking in recent times and how much.

Laugh I'm going to try it - although we won't know what we're having until after the babe is born like you RJ.

So will post the results. Does it matter whether or not it should be FMU or not??

Right for me. I've known since I was 8 I was having 3 boys. I even told DH before we got married that if he wanted a daughter, now was his time to pull out!! LOL LOL

It was right by dipping over the hand, but worng on the belly! Everyone tells me if you are PG the belly one is the one to take. This time it says girl on both my hand and belly time will tell!

Anyways I did this bi carb thing.... two times, and unless I am having twins and it is a boy and a girl then it is wrong! It comes down to how much you have had to drink... TMI.... it fized on the more yellow wee! I had a feeling something like that would happen!

I did it just then and it got bubbles and a bit of white foam. Would that be considered a fizz? How much fizz is right Unsure lol this sounds so weird Laugh

The ring test has been right for everyone I know even my friend with girl/boy twins. My ring test says this baby is a girl. We'll see Smile

I did it twice and got both boy and girl and well Little 11 is a boy!

The ring test is wrong again for me, it is even wrong when I do it over my hand to get the number of kiddies and their sex. I must be the odd one out Laugh
