Am I the only 2nd Timer mum who's feeling more anxious this time around, than the 1st? I had my "booking in" appointment at the hospital a fortnight ago and basically, had an anxiety attack in with the midwife. She asked me how I was and I just broke down and cried and blurted out all of the things that I'm so concerned about that just didn't bother me, the first time around.

Please tell me I'm not crazy :D

You're not crazy!!! I got really anxious about how my DD would be once I had my second. I remember making a post on here worried about how she would come etc and how I would cope with two.

When it came down to it I was really worrying over nothing as all went well :)

Goodluck!

2nd timer anxiety... Yes. I also have this and its only early days. I think because I know so much more this time, I know so much can go wrong and it really worries me. Then there's DS and DP to worry about. Doing everything all over again. Pregnancy. A new born. Plus toddler.
No advice sorry. Just wanted you to know your not alone. Hugs.

Thanks for the replies. I don't really have any anxieties over my DD b/c she's going to be 6 by the time that the baby arrives and we think she's handling it all with unexpected maturity.

I seem to be freaking out over the other stuff - she was such a great pregnancy and so far, this one is a polar opposite. She was a fantastic labour, will this one have complications or be even faster? the OB told me at my 6 week checkup after DD that if my waters break at home, I'll have to call the ambulance b/c I won't make it at time. Well what if that DOES happen? What if bub doesn't sleep well like DD did? Stuff like that. And then of course, it didn't help that as soon as I finished this lovely little meltdown with the midwife, I had to do that mandatory "mental health" quiz to see if I'm going to be a high candidate for PND. Like that didn't add to the worries...

My DS was an unplanned home birth. Not that scary. Truely. When stuff gets thrown at you, you deal with it. I think you will surprise yourself.
I'm worried about so much. But I know I will deal with whatever comes as it happens. You will too.
All the best with the rest of your pregnancy xo
