I would have thought it was Ah-li-ya. But I think Ah-lee-uh is nicer

Same here...

This one always gets me: Aylja pronounced A-lah - always stumps me but its how the family pronounce who's daughter has it!

People will pronounce it how ever you wish it to be pronounced. Yes you may have to correct people from time to time but some will get it right and once they are aware (especially those who you're around all the time) will always get it right.

Gorgeous name choice too btw! ThumpUp

Thanks Casey and yeah I guess your right the only time it will need to get corrected when people are reading it like teachers but once they know they will read it properly.

I was having an issue with spelling so I might poll that now LOL

thanks girls, I can't believe I am still contemplating spelling of this name and she is due in 3 days LOL but I do love the name I just don't know about the spelling of it.

I know people will most likely pronounce it right Aleah but I just don't like this spelling So hubby liked it Alia but I like Aliya/h but now am thinking of the made up spelling of Aleeya gggrrr I just don't know.

Still here tam! Flapper Flapper Flapper
I like the made up spelling! That's what we did with tamzin's name! We liked Tamsin/Tamsyn but wanted to spell it our own way, I love that idea of making the name more unique iykwim. Good luck with the decision!
