Are they outdated?
I've noticed lately (because I have been spending a ridiculous amount of time at the shops) that not many woman seem to have them?
I have carried one continously since I've had Mikayla. And it is always stuffed the brim.
I ditched the handbag and have a pocket in the bag I use for me. But it seems I'm the only one I know that does that.

I do the same as you, I have a Ryco nappy bag and it has things like pullups, wipes, plastic bags, spare clothes, sunscreen, water bottles, snacks, DD's puffers etc. Plus I use the front pocket as a "handbag" with my purse, deodorant, tampons, bills RollEyes etc

I honestly haven't noticed what other ppl do bit it seems strange to me that a mum wouldn't have one!

I bought one and used it maybe three times. I've always had big handbags, and used the clear zip bag that came with the nappy bag, inside my bag with DSs stuff.

These days he has a back pack that lives in the car with all his stuff and I take what we need out of that and put it in my hand bag.

I don't know that they are outdated, I see heaps of people with them. Just wasn't for me. Though I never understood what some people have in these huge chocablock nappy bags Confused LOL

LOL I never understood what ppl with no kids put in huge handbags! Before DD I would have my wallet and phone and that'd be it! My handbags were always so tiny ppl would say how do you get around with such a small handbag!

It took me ages to find a nappy bag I liked. The one I have now is excellent! The inside compartment is spacious - plenty of room for everything PLUS DD's spacer and puffers, there is an insulated section for food/water and a "nappy changing station" that was handy when DD was little as you can fold the mat out and all your nappy changing things are in little pockets at the top, plus the section at the front for my personal things. On the side it has a phone pocket too so I don't have to rummage around when it rings. I love it!

I think they are just more trendy looking these days so it seems like less people use them.
I always have a big handbag even when I am just going to work so I will prolli just use that as a baby bag when DS #2 comes. It's easy at the moment because DS is nearly four there isn't really anything we need to take..except maybe a drink bottle and pair of undies (just in case). I am not a very organised mummy though lol.

I see a few with big bags that I'm guessing are nappy bags, but the one that made me question it was the woman i saw carrying a tiny little hand bag and then under her pram, loose, I saw nappies and wipes and a few blankets.
The one I bought when I had the twins died (I busted the internel zipper that seperated the two pockets) so I bought one from target reccently and I carry 2 cloth napppies, a big pack of wipes, snacks, 3 hats, a tube of suncream, 2 sippy cups, a few plastic bags so I don't get caught out when I go shopping, and then in the 2 front pockets I have my wallet, phone and sunnies.
And that is the toddleer version I was way worse when they were babies (6 nappies, 2 complete changes of clothes, 4 wraps, wipes, plus spare undies and clothes for Mikayla coz she was toilet training when they were babies) plus snacks for her.
Makes me think if I have a fourth I'll need to pull a trailer LOLWoot

I have a nappy bag but never really use it. It just sits in the boot of the car most of the time. I usually just have a nappy or two and a small packet of wipes in the bottom of the pram.

I see people with them but now they look like handbags but inside they have all the compartments and change mat. If I was going to need another one that's what I owuld have.

I had one for perhaps 8 months and they i started using a back pack and I opted to use my stroller over my big annoying pram so a back pack was easier to slip over the handles. but for the first 8 months the nappy bag was an essential for me BigGrin

Hahaha about the trailer comment!
I got a big Ishka one as a gift and I take it pretty much everywhere. I looks like a BIG handbag. It's got nappies, wipes, a cloth nappy & mat for bubba to lie on, a change of clothes (in case of poo-tastrophies).. hmm what else?

I use a large handbag at the moment. It has 4 cloth (old style terry squres) nappies, 1 pair pilchers, a change of clothes for DS, spare knickers and pants for DD incase of accidents - never had to use them, 2 waterbottles, snacks for DD, wipes, nappy bags, my purse and phone. When DH is with us it also has his wallet and phone. It weighs heaps, I can't wait till I nolonger have to lug it around with us.

I used to have a seperate nappy bag and handbag which I'll have to go back to soon because the big bag is starting to fall apart.
