All my kids have family names as middle names. Do you have any in the tree that you like?

They just have to get over it :) We used DD's middle name after my grandmothers middle name, and she was so happy. No-one else got annoyed by it. If this baby is a boy he'll be getting my grandfathers first name as his middle name (he passed away a few years ago, so if anyone gets annoyed I'd be very surprised).
DD1 - December 2009 - breastfed for 22 months
DD2 - January 2012 - straight back onto the booby feeding bandwagon

I'm also a big fan of family names as middle names.
Otherwise, it depends on your surname but maybe:

Joel - Andrew, Alexander
Evan - Joseph, Marcus
Macy - Anne, Lee, Charlotte , Rose, Ree
Bryn - Lily, Ruby

Good luck!

I also really like Family names.

when pregnant with DS I had the middle name Alexander picked out after my great grand father and if I was to have a girl I had the middle name Rose picked out as my nan's name is Rose. I also considered Maree as its my other grandmother's name but I am not close to her and my mum has her middle name. Though I didn't end up using a family name in the end.

When I was born they considered making my middle name Rose Maree but thought that would cause conflict about the order so gave me a name non related Jane by far the most popular middle name of 1987.

I on the other hand have no problem if it upsets one family member over the other. they will get over it. my problem now is I am scared another female member of my family will get pregnant and have a girl before I do and use the middle name Rose I'll be gutted! Crying

are u looking at classic middle names or middle names that are a little bit more out there? Smile

I wouldn't worry about names yet as for us our original choices didn't even get a look in - we changed our minds a lot and the original name we picked out didn't suit.

We chose family names for all of our children and never even thought about those who didn't get "chosen" as it was our choice for our children. So I say choose a name that you like (whether it be a family name or not) and don't worry about other's reactions, there will always be people who don't like what you choose but at the end of the day it is your child and your choice.

Mark might go?

I'm using my deceased fathers name and my DP's middle name for our son if we have one. Will be two middle names for him.
