BFing is so much easier this time!!!! I'm still as engorged and have the same massive oversupply, but this time I know what to do about it. I already have 3 litres of milk in my freezer for PREMbank and have a hospital grade Medela pump to use. I've been expressing for comfort and as my breasts aren't as full as with DD1 (I didn't have a clue what I was doing and just tried to latch her on, even when my breasts were like rocks and the nipple was non-existent) my nipples aren't damaged and it's not painful to feed!! This is massive for me as breastfeeding was an ordeal with DD1 until she was about 4 months. To the point where I would be crying through every feed.

No need to reply, I'm just feeling very happy about things at the moment BigGrin

OH! And can I just add that Hydrogel Breast Discs are the best invention ever. I had some small grazes earlier in the week, and used the discs, and they healed up, even when I was still feeding. Amazing. I wish I had known about them with DD1!
DD1 - December 2009 - breastfed for 22 months
DD2 - January 2012 - straight back onto the booby feeding bandwagon

That's great news RJ ThumpUp I have been thinking about starting over BF with a new born a bit lately so it's nice to hear such a positive experience!

Sure is 3 litres Jules, I'm a good milker :) If I wasn't expressing I'd be in a world of pain so it's benefiting me too. Hopefully that will slow down to about 200mL extra per day fairly soon as my body adjusts.

I think I remember writing a post almost identical to this one when I had DS! I was so happy that breastfeeding came sooo much easier the second time around, with DD it was horrendous from day dot up until 6months when I gave up! It was so lovey to have a positive BF experience with DS!

Well done!! ThumpUp

when I first held you I wanted to change the world...now you have changed mine
