I know how you feel Amelia we have a cot and change table sitting in the spare bedroom next to ours when we decided to TTC we thought it wouldn't take long and I wanted to be organised now it's waiting....

My niece was cute and when she first saw it asked if there was a baby and would run to that room everytime for a few months to check, thankfully she doesn't anymore. I use it for storage atm so it doesn't hurt as much to look at Smile

THe hardest part is the waiting, and believe me i am the king queen and princess of waiting...

Nattie,

I know that you want your bubba right away, like we all usually do, but, it will happen, believe me, you do have time on your side and your precious one will come when all is ready. I am a true believer that that is what happens, and, usually when you least expect it...
Being all set up and organised is a step further, it is painful when you look at all your stuff, but it won't be long before you are filling up your cot with a wonderful little human being...

Hey ladies, well I will be officially joining the clomid club again as of tomorrow..AF showed her ugly painful head thismorning after 9 long weeks.
I had a second blood test on friday as my last one showed 7UI/ml and my FS thinks that I may have had a chemical pregnancy..and she re did BT to see if levels had gone down, I believe that obviously they have.
One thing Id love for someone to be able to clear up for me is Iv done lots of research on chemical pregnancies and the only thing I dont understand is that they say that is just an egg is fertilized but doesnt multiply properly and goes no where, but I dont understand for it to send out HCG levels of any detcetable amounts it has to have embedded in uterus doesnt it??
If anyone can clear that up for me, that would be great.
I am a little upset about it coz its technically a loss...but what I am greatful for is that if I did have a chemical preg at least I know that I obviously ovulated successfully and thats a step up from where we were.
I start on Clomid 100mg tomorrow..can anyone shed any light on when its common to ovualate after that? I am going to see dr and ask for a mid cycle ultrasound anyway, but just interested.

thanks ladies, hope this month is the one we have all been waiting for! Would make a terrific 2012 xmas pressie!! BigGrin

Well it's all systems go for us too. AF showed up this morning and that means we start our 100mg tonight. fingers crossed that i don't have to endure the painfulness of not getting a BFP!!! I did say that i was not going to get too excited but i guess you just can't help it.. bring on late march for a BFP for us...

iwantobeamummy, sorry for you early loss, it is still devastating whether early or late loss.. we had a few chemical pregnancies and 2 late ones.. yeah for AF showing up, you will be not very far behind me i think.. I am expecting to 'O' around day 9-17 we will see what happens.... i am not having a scan or bloods, just going with the flow...

and yes a 2012 christmas pressie would be just fantastic...

I'm sorry to hear that iwanttobeamummy Sad. A loss no matter when is still hard especially when it's all you dream of. I'm really not sure about the 'chemical pregnancy' thing but I'm sure you're right about it embedding before it can release HCG. I know my last m/c was 5w1d and I asked the FS about when it might not have worked out and this was his explaination to me "as DH's sperm count is low it contains fewer good quality sperm and sometimes the egg can be fussy and go onto reject the sperm, or there was an abmormality that stopped it forming properly, or it didn't implant properly". I have also read that about 50% of blastocysts implant then suddenly detach.

I feel so sorry for you out there without the proper information from the specialist- this is how I felt after the first appointment- that I had no real idea of what to do or what the next step was. My FS made me right down this schedule, I have a 32-35 day cycle so this is how it will work for me. Day 1 of AF (not spotting, full AF) call and make a mid cycle appt. Days 3-7 take 50mg Clomid and then BD every second day between days 10-20, as he believes I O between days 16-18.

I also buy my OPK's from www.pregnancy-tests(dot)com.au as they are so much cheaper (50 Ovulation & 10 Pregnancy Tests $32.95) and if you order before 2 or 2:20pm (I can't remember!) they will dispatch it that day. Plus like the other ladies have said look out for the other signs of O too so you don't feel like you have to pee on a stick everyday!

I have my FXed for you Kerrie!!

Hi, thanks Nattie and Kezz for ur replies.
I am trying to get my head around the whole thing as it is a shock considering I was told that I wasnt ovulating..good to see that the Clomid was doing its job, I cant help but think about what couldve been...
Sad
I went back to my GP today just to touch base and let her know what was going on, she rang for my second blood test results, and they had doubled in 3 days..Confused
She was equally confused, considering I got a visit from AF early the morning after that blood test.
She said its unlikely that it is Implantation bleeding, it can be heavy but she doubts it. So do I, it has been incredibly painful to the point where I have been cramping for 3 days now!
She still thinks I have had a chemical pregnancy...which I still dont fully understand, but thats just the way it is.
I asked if I could please have a mid cycle U/S and she said because of where we are the radiologist is not trained in follicle tracking, she could see if there was follicles, but not be able to tell me if they were mature and ready to be realeased. Frustrating living in the middle of nowhere!!!!! Brick wall
I am moving back to sydney soon and if were not lucky enough to be UTD by then I will see another specialist and see if they can do it for me.
Had another blood test today to check levels, and if they havent gone down I will be very suprised!
Will keep u posted. Smile

Me again ... How is everyone going? I'm on my last dose tonight and I don't feel a thing, no side effects at all. Which is surprising because a couple of years ago when I took it I was horrible. Dp calls them cranky pills and is very surprised this time.

Is anyone feeling anything? Pain in ovaries etc? Should I be feeling anything?

Hope you all have a great day...

So how is everyone going in here?

Thanks for the commisserations girls - I am over my little pity party now Laugh - onwards and upwards!

I am taking my first clomid for this cycle tonight, so back on the bandwagon ready for another month of fun and games! Laugh Unsure

Kerrie - great to hear that you haven't had any side effects so far ThumpUp I usually feel fine when I take them, but I do get more bloated and headachey around O time, then more moody etc in the 2WW which is weird. Hope you stay feeling fine though and the crankiness stays away!

Nattie - GL! We must be almost in sync... Smile

iwanttobeamummy - How are you going? Any updates on your BT results? Thinking of you - TTC can be just so stressful... Sad

Amelia you are such a trooper ThumpUp. I take my fist dose tomorrow night so you're right- we nearly are in sync! Do you have a date booked for your IUI? What date will you be testing? As you saw I'm testing the start of April.

Hey Nattie - Not much choice really so I try and stay positive. Would rather not still be trooping really, but just gotta get on with it I guess! At least on clomid you start taking the drugs early in your cycle - makes you feel like you are doiong something and helps you move on and not wallow in last cycle's failure for too long... Going on last cycle I think I will be doing IUI around 14th / 15th March and testing 14 days later (if I make it that far without AF turning up) so should just scrape into March I think. You must have longish cycles, or do you wait longer than 14 days before testing?

Hi there ladies...sorry to hear ur bad news meals,
But well done on being so positive.
Kezz I think we must pretty much be in sync with our
Clomid...I finished my last dose today.
I didn't really notice any side effects on 50mgs but
This time on 100mg geez...hot hot flushes...ridiculous!
Headaches and dizzy spells...
Not nice ...ohh and I wanted to run people over today
When they crossed in front of me...cranky!!
Lol.
Umm no no more blood test results yet... They had
Doubled in 2-3days...but have had a visit from AF soo very
Confused! My cycle was very short this time, AF only lasted 3.5 days!!
Just wondering if anyone else has experienced their areola's getting
Bigger n darker from clomid??
I even asked my DH if he could notice and he could too...
Sooo strange. I know that's a preg symptom but surely not
With only 15u/l hcg??
Any thoughts?? Take care all...keep us a posted.

Yeah I know what you mean Mealsy I feel the same way and I wish you weren't still here either but I know this is our year Pray. I think I feel more comfortable with this waiting and AC stuff now than I did at the start of TTC- each month was a disaster but now we just pick up and move on. The FS thinks I probably O somewhere around day 16-20 so I'm going with the later date for my testing so I don't get my hopes up.

iwanttobeamummy- did the doctor say anymore when she gave you your last BT results? If they are still going up I would have thought they would have asked you to ride it out and see what happens before taking any medication etc. by that's JMO.
