I think your best bet would be to do a quick google search. There is so much information out there on various gender swaying techniques. From diets to DTD on certain days!!

Hi MissT,

Thanks for the reply and advice. I have looked into the shettles method but no success in falling so far. Some information can be so conflicting though.. Thanks again :)

We weren't trying for any particular gender with ours. But with DS we DTD on O day, and this time we DTD 3 days before O and it looks like it's going to be a girl. So I guess there's some truth to the method. Though not always.

I suggested googling for the diet because the lists of what to eat and not eat are quiet long!!!

Good luck! I hope you can get your little girl Smile

Timing! With DD1 we were actually apart from day 8 onwards (I generally O on day 13-14) so dtd about 5 days before O and ended up with a girl. With daughters #2 and #3 I was timing to get girls again, dtd from the end of AF till day 11 (generally every second day) but never after day 11.

Thanks for all the great advise ladies :)

This is our second cycle trying (after m/c in nov)as per my calender and we dtd 2-3 days before predicted O. I did take ovulation test the next day which was positive. My cycle is mostly on time so fingers x. That was one week ago today and I am so anxious to find out its crazy. I even took a preg test which was neg but im sure it is too early to detect.

Thanks again

:)

Good luck! You can join one of the testing in threads, you can chat with the ladies in there. They are all TTC as well and are going through the same thing so can relate! Here's the link for this months testing thread

If you go on a low-cal diet and skip breakfast, that can also make you more likely to have a girl.

I'm pretty sure more dairy is good for conceiving girls!

What I read (will have to find something backing me up Smile ) that is is for boys, this was when I was doing random research!!!

ETA: oh my gosh, just googled it and it said to avoid dairy for a boy... ok, nvm... I will have to find what I was reading last year that said dairy, youghurt and cheese were good boy promoters...

Just letting you know we tried twice for a girl and neither time did it work and we tried absolutely everything - so for us it didn't work.

We swayed for a girl this time and going by ultrasound we're getting a little girl Smile I did a few things but wasnt strict. I had a LOT of dairy (approx a litre of milk a day plus yoghurt!) took calcium supplements as well as regular pre-natal vitamins, cut out a lot of starchy foods (avoided potatoes during the 1st 2 weeks of each new cycle) we also DTD every 2nd day up until about 3 days before 0. It took a few more cycles than my last baby took to fall because we werent just going for it whenever lol.

the only thing i can recommend is timing, but knowing exactly what your body does to be able to get timing right. with our first, we just wanted a baby and i was clueless!! with liam, we dtd only on the day of ovulation and then for about two or three days after, abstained for a week before and with protection before that. with this one, we are aiming for a boy again, and again, dtd on ovulation and after. we havent actually had any confirmation, but from what i saw on the scan its another boy.

like i said, you have to know your body 100% to be able to rely on the timing method alone. i was tracking everything for months in advance to be an expert on my body for when the time was right.

good luck and i hope you get your little girl, but dont be too disappointed if you end up with another little boy, all babies are precious!!
