Does anyone know how much water is the average for a 15month old to drink? Charlie drink A LOT, or what I think I consider to be a lot..... He drinks about over a litre a day sometimes more, he loves water and seems to always be wanting it.

I have never really thought anything of this and I am very happy for him to be drinking water if he is wanting it, it doesn't impact on his eating and he eats A LOT haha.

But MIL commented the other day about how much he drinks and suggested perhaps getting his blood sugar levels checked out so now I am all worried..

So what is the average/recommended about that a once year old should be drinking? How much does your child drink?

DS is almost 19 months and probably drinks about the same, though some days he will drink lots of milk so a little less water. I never thought about it as being a bad thing! Confused

Both of ours drink heaps of water as well. We also have nothing else to drink in the house. I am happy they both drink well like me.

Haha thanks everyone! Makes me feel better! I honestly think he is fine, he's a very happy active little boy so I am sure of there is something really wrong he would be displaying more symptoms than just being thirsty, he only drink water too no juice or anything like that an he has milk in a sippy cup but only once or twice a day.

And like you say bek it has been very hot here so he is probably just keeping himself hydrated :) preece we bought Kate a little stepping stool from ikea (actually its secretly for me by cause I am so short I can't reach the cupboard haha but shhh) anyway Kate thinks its hers and she uses it to fill up her water bottle and she fills Charlie's up too haha so cute! Kate also drinks a fair amout of water too just not quite as much as Charlie.

Thanks for your replies everyone!! :)
