I do not think I got Braxton Hicks with Jimmy, however I know there were times when I thought I did.

Yesterday afternoon I got cramps like AF then last night I was regularly getting really quick bursts of pain (all below my belly button) It was a cross between a really really bad AF cramp and a really really fast but mild contraction. Sometimes they were only seconds apart but other times they were minutes apart. They didn’t stop me from sleeping. Tonight I got them again however I have been really busy tonight and I only noticed it when I slowed down. I just started taking raspberry leaf tea tables yesterday, could it have something to do with it? Also I noticed I get the AF likes cramps when breastfeeding, not sure if that has something to do with it.

I am not entirely sure what I am asking really but anyone’s experience with Braxton Hicks....or whatever it is I am getting would be great.

Thanks BigGrin

Yep same as Suzanne and Lizzy said, my tummy gets really hard and uncomfortable and sometimes it makes it hard to stand or even sit. Actually come to think of it there is no real comfortable position when a BH comes on. I got diagnosed with Irritable Uterus so I get so many BH per day its sort of become part of the furniture now!

What you describe doesn't sound like BH, maybe things are not too far away for you? You are nearly full term being 36+2 (basing "full-term" meaning 37 weeks plus). What gestation was Jimmy born at?

What you describe sounds like my first contractions with DD. My waters broke then about 30-40 minutes later I got mild AF type cramps but because my membranes had ruptured they were already 5 minutes apart from the time they started. Maybe try timing them and see if they come regularly? Can you talk with your midwife/ob?

Good luck xoxo

ETA that I don't think the RLT would have caused the contractions.

Also you said you experienced them while BFing well that makes sense because it is stimulating your nipples which can stimulate mild contractions in your uterus. Normally you wouldn't be able to feel or notice but being close to your due date perhaps it's starting to get things moving??

Thanks!

Well I have had Braxton Hicks however I was thinking it was Little 11 doing some very odd movements Blushing I thought they were supposed to be painful Blushing

The cramping has me a little worried (Jimmy was 2 days early) it is getting more frequent. I really cannot time them because some of it is really fast “shots” of pain but the cramps that stick around a bit longer are exactly what I had right before going into labour with Jimmy. I am a tad bit confused as to my course of action right now Confused might do a post in private with details.
